It's no secret that Michael Jackson was on numerous medications, but was a powerful sedative to blame for his shocking death last week?

According to the Associated Press, Jackson repeatedly begged his caretakers for Diprivan (aka Propofol) despite warnings it could be harmful, and it's now being reported that the drug was found in his Holmby Hills estate after he died.

Cherilyn Lee, a registered nurse who worked closely with the pop icon said that she repeatedly rejected Jackson's demands for the drug, which is a powerful intravenous anesthetic widely used in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness. However, it appears as though Jackson found another way to get it, and we have to wonder if he might still be alive today if he hadn't gotten his hands on the drug.

Dr. John Dombrowski, a member of the board of directors of the American Society of Anesthesiologists told the AP that an overdose that stops breathing may result in a buildup of carbon dioxide, causing the heart to beat erratically, leading to cardiac arrest. Add painkillers (such as Demorol, which Jackson was also taking) to the mix, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Lee received a call from a Jackson staffer just four days before his death, and she tells the AP:

"[The staffer] called and was very frantic and said, 'Michael needs to see you right away.' I said, 'What's wrong?' And I could hear Michael in the background... 'One side of my body is hot, it's hot, and one side of my body is cold. It's very cold.' I said, 'Tell him he needs to go the hospital. I don't know what's going on, but he needs to go to the hospital...right away.' At that point I knew that somebody had given him something that hit the central nervous system. He was in trouble Sunday and he was crying out."

However, Jackson did not go to the hospital, and while an official cause of death still hasn't been determined, it sure looks like this might have been the medication that pushed the reportedly frail Jackson over the edge....

We reported earlier that the King of Pop will return to Neverland Ranch, his Santa Barbara estate, on Thursday morning for a public viewing the day later. (A private service is scheduled for Sunday, two days after that, as July 4th falls in between.)

X17 photogs just got off a 2-hour flight to the ranch and we can confirm that preparations are indeed underway... An X17 photographer tells us:

"There were at least thirty workers preparing the grounds for the big event. There were landscapers outside, people coming in and out, cleaning and preparing the house. And there was a police cruiser on the property, monitoring the perimeter."

Sounds like a lot of activity going on! While we understand the need for fans to say their goodbyes to MJ, we can't help but wonder... how will this all go down? The area is certain to be flooded with people wanting to pay their respects - but can security keep the chaos under control? And should such a viewing even have been allowed? And what about that 30-car LAPD escort just to get the body up there? Are us taxpayers paying for that?!

Our photographer adds: "All the carnival rides have been removed. The grass was finally being watered. The place was bustling with activity but it was definitely coming together - this old, dead property is coming alive again."

The AP report that a copy of Michael Jackson's will (from 2002) has finally been received by the Jackson family.

X17 reported earlier that the doc, held by Michael's lawyer John Branca, divides MJ's estate between his mom Katherine, three kids, at least one charity... and makes no mention of father Joe.

Debbie Rowe is fighting back against rumors that she has no genetic relationship to the two children she carried for Michael Jackson.

In an interview with Radaronline.com, Rowe's attorney Marta Almli says "without a doubt" her client IS the biological mother of Michael Jackson, Jr. and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson.

"Particularly hurtful and insidious is the most recent rumor -- which is entirely false -- concerning the maternity of the children," the attorney said. "Ms. Rowe is the biological mother of the two oldest children."

The attorney went on to say Rowe would not be commenting further about the allegations but added, "the vast majority of what is out there is untrue."

Not only is Dr. Arnold Klein suspected to be the biological father of two of Michael Jackson's children, now he's wanted for questioning reports TMZ.

Over the last few months, we spotted Jackson going in and out of Dr. Klein's office several times, and, in fact, the last time we saw the pop icon alive, on June 16th, was outside the Dr.'s office.

The LAPD wants to have a little chat with the dermatologist about what drugs he was giving the troubled pop icon. Could he have been overprescribing? Or even misprescribing? We certainly hope neither...

Joe Jackson leaving Michael's former estate just hours ago ...

Security guards for the insurance company (presumably for the owner who rented the house to the Jackson for a whopping $100,000 a month) spoke exclusively to X17 photogs and revealed that this was the last day Jackson's family would be allowed inside the home.

An X17 photog tells X17online exclusively:

"One of the guards told us this is the last day Jackson's family could have access to the house, and that they had to be out by the end of the day. Since they don't own the house and no one's paying rent anymore, it makes sense, but Joe and Katherine looked like they needed much more time."

Investigators from the LAPD and from the coroner's office will still be allowed inside, of course, but the family will no longer be allowed to remove anything from the house.

Could it be that Jackson was behind on his rent and that his estate will owe money to the owner of the house - perhaps the insurance company might repossess some of Jackson's belongings? Or was it just that enough was enough - time for the family to stay away and the home to go back on the market for lease? Wonder who the next renter could be...

Jay-Z may have been paying his respects to Michael Jackson yesterday, spending time in the studio to work on an MJ remix, but his bodyguards were anything but respectful when they harassed a pap on public property!

Jay kept tight lipped when the photogs asked him about Michael outside of the Ivy in Santa Monica, but when he was leaving Live Nation in Beverly Hills, his bodyguard gave the photogs some lip about being too close. Luckily, the situation was quickly diffused when they got in the car and drove off.

Rob Pattinson was snapped on the set of Remember Me with that girl he gets to make out with Emilie De Ravin, and as always, he was looking super sexy...maybe even a little bit on the rugged side?

Posthumous sales of Michael Jackson's music has pushed the King of Pop back on top of the charts, with his The Essential Michael Jackson album holding the top spot of iTunes album chart (Thriller is #6) and his singles holding 6 of the top ten singles spots.

And that's just the digital downloads! Stores have reportedly been selling out of their stock of Jackson's CDs, and we're sure he'll be holding the top spots on Billboard when those numbers come in, too.

In Stephen's car, that is! Then again, the 35-year-old actor isn't so bad, is he? Sure, he doesn't have nearly as much hair as he used to, but he's still got sex appeal! And the Ferrari doesn't hurt!

Michael Jackson's body will return to Neverland Ranch on Thursday morning for a public viewing on Friday, reports CNN. TMZ reports that a 30 car motorcade will escort the late singer from Los Angeles to his Santa Barbara estate at 10am PST. A private memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, but the location of Michael's final resting place is still unknown.

X17online has learned that OK Magazine paid $500,000 for the last known pic of Jackson, a harrowing photo from inside the ambulance that they're featuring prominently on the cover.

While Jackson is undoubtedly the biggest story of the year (if not the decade!) and it's no surprise he graces the cover of almost every tabloid, most magazines feature photos of Jackson in better times and with his family, while the OK cover is in stark contrast.

With demand high from the fans who want to remember their fallen idol and virtually everyone who wants a peek inside his bizarre life and sudden death is it really so surprising that OK magazine would pay half a mill? And is their choice to display Michael in such a way un-befitting of a man revered by millions?

TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson never legally adopted his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II.

Since Michael's most likely not even the biological father of any of the children, this may have some effect on his mother's custody claims. Of course, Debbie Rowe has yet to state whether or not she intends to fight Katherine for custody and Prince Michael II's biological mother still remains a mystery.

He may not be their "legal" parent, but he is still their "presumed" parent, which the judge will most likely take into account.
