She possibly does need some beef, or some other animal product - chicken, fish, eggs, cheese etc. Bad skin is a sign that something is out of balance in the body so the vegetarianism is the first thing I would assess (occam's razor and all that). It may be that vegetarianism is not right for Alicia's particular metabolic body type (while being okay for other people).
However, it could be any number of things. It could be a problem with wheat, it could be a problem with not enough omega 3 oils (fish is a great source), it could be a reaction to sugar, it could be alcohol,it could be not enough Vitamin B5 etc etc etc.
Alicia needs to look back on how she ate when her skin was good and she looked great and compare it to what she is doing now. It's very commendable to be concerned about animal rights but not at the risk to your health.

so its fine for dogs to eat like that....ever seen a dog eating grass..?i've also seen a neighbours dog eat apples that fell from a tree!!!

1. Depression
A lot of adults are depressed about a lot of things. They are no longer perky like teenagers/young adults and care about looking good. They are too depressed to care.
2. Laziness

Actually were designed to be omnivores, which means being able to digest both plant matter and meat. Complete proteins, including all the essential ammino acids and b vitamins can be had from a vegetarian diet. You do have to pay attention to your diet though to make sure your getting enough protein. Beans and rice is a great example of a complete meal. That combined with a peanut butter/jelly sandwich and night and milk and ceral and eggs for breakfast will give you all the nutrion you'll need including all the essential fats/protein/carbs/vitamins ect. This is basic. Any doctor or dietician knows this. If you disagree with being a vegetarian thats your right, but don't knock it without the facts too back up your argument.

Please try a very simple thing: google "acne" and you'll learn that this is a skin illness due to an overproduction of sebum and doesn't come from what you eat BUT can become worse when you eat fat foods and alcohol.
I'm a veggie and have no skin problems, my sister who eats a lot of meat and doesn't eat in a healthy way does have acne.
Plus, I don't see acne in this pic, just a normal, natural person with no make-up.
