By "pain", of course, we Le Pain Quotidien - that's where we caught Britney's former friend on a lunch date with a mystery man!

Unfortunately, when we tried to catch up with Alli as she and her boy returned to her car, she proved to be a little reluctant, refusing to comment on anything Britney- or Jamie Lynn-related. Heck, she wouldn't even let the name of her new beau slip - anyone recognize him?

While most of the photogs were trained on Britney at Fred Segal's on Friday, one of our guys noticed Alli Sims sneaking into the store for a secret rendez-vous!

Alli admitted that the two had been speaking, but was this their first meeting since Brit was admitted to UCLA?

Ordinarily, Alli Sims going clubbing with Avril Lavigne would be more than enough star power for us - but during Grammy season, the stakes go up!

We thought for sure that Alli and a pink-locked Avril would be bringing the most starpower to Hyde on Saturday night when we saw them running up into the club together.

Of course, we were happy to be proven wrong when Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri showed up shortly afterward!

Unfortunately, none of the famous folks had anything to say to the paps, but that's OK - we were just glad to be there!

Alli Sims has always been a loyal friend to Britney Spears... so how come she pulled a last-minute U-turn when she went to visit her friend last night?

Our photographers saw Alli driving up to the Summit last night around 7:45 - but right before she was about to come inside the gates, she turned around and headed home!

Could this be Jamie's conservatorship order in action? After all, the second power granted to him by the court in the written order allows him to "restrict and limit visitors"!

Do you think Jamie just wanted his daughter to get some rest? Or has Alli fallen out of Jamie's favor?

With Britney spears currently confined to the UCLA Medical Center, it's certainly a relief to know that her friends are still looking out for her - like Alli Sims!

We caught Britney's former assistant stopping by UCLA yesterday for a quick visit.

She returned later to drop off some personal items to make the pop princess' stay a little more comfortable - shampoo, clothes, that sort of thing.

Unfortunately, she wasn't able to stay long - she left almost immediately with a sad look on her face.

Alli appeared to be exhausted by the ordeal, politely declining to answer questions about Britney's status.

Thankfully, earlier in the day she loosened her lips long enough to confirm that Brit's doing all right - that's certainly good to hear!

This just in! Sam has arrived at the hospital, with Britney's mother Lynne and BFF Alli already inside.

No one - not even family members - are allowed inside the room with Brit until visiting hours at 4 pm.

Seems strange that Sam arrived just in time to jump ahead of the line and be the first to see Britney. Did Britney request to see him?

X17 photographers have been in touch with Britney's childhood friend and former assistant Alli Sims and she tells us she is on her way to Brit's home right now.

She would not comment further on the evening's events.

UPDATE - Police on the ground and an LAPD helicopter are still on the scene, two hours after they arrived tonight.

Alli Sims may have been out partying on Saturday night - but when the subject of conversation turned to Heath Ledger's untimely passing, she was more than willing to change gears and pay tribute!

The aspiring singer expressed her sincere condolences, claiming to be thoroughly bewildered by the tragic series of events.

"I don't even know what to say," Alli kept remarking.

Us either - it's just such a senseless loss!

... Diddy was partying! Big surprise, right? We ran into the Bad Boy mogul as he hustled out of Villa and into the back seat of a luxury SUV Friday night. Think he was sippin' on any Ciroc inside?

Of course, Diddy wasn't the only celeb at Villa - we also spotted Alli Sims, an aggressively anti-spotlight Jason Statham, and even Linda Hogan! (We're guessing Villa's eligible bachelors kept their distance, however - I mean, would you want to piss off the Hulk by getting too fresh with his wife?)

And as if that's not enough, how about a little footage of some Pointer Sisters lookalikes arguing with a meter maid? Yep - Villa has it all!

One of Brit's best friends has spoken out to Us on her relationship with the troubled pop star.

Alli insists that Britney is "not crazy", just sad over the situation with her kids.

She also goes on to say that in the eight months she lived with Brit, she never witnessed any drug use.

Despite reports that say otherwise, Alli was not paid to dish, and is choosing to speak out now only because she fears Brit's relationship with Adnan is potentially damaging to her friend.

Brit's loyal friend Alli had a lot to say on the subject of Brit's new companion, Adnan.

In an interview with Us Weekly (via Extra), Alli confesses:

"I don’t know him. I only know who he is through him following us for the last eight months. I do not think Adnan is a good person; I think he only has bad intentions. He has always given me a weird feeling and creeped me out. I wish he would just go away."

That's a pretty damning statement from someone who's been one of Brit's closest friends and supporters!

After dining at Mr.Chow's, Paris and Nicky made their separate ways to Goa last night, where they were spotted by one of our spies. Paris actually shared a few words with our insider, who breathlessly quotes her as saying "I have never been happier - I'm so happy to be single!"

So much for that New Years resolution, huh?

Our spy also saw Alli hitting up the nightspot, although she kept a pretty low profile once she got inside.

Thankfully, this time she was a little more to willing to chat!

X17 photogs caught up with sweet-as-pie Alli Sims outside of the Ivy Wednesday evening.

Although she demurred when asked about the status of Kentwood cousin Britney AND her forthcoming album (saying she "learned her lesson" about speaking out), she did it with the cutest smile on her face!

Alli Sims tells Us that she and Britney are still very close despite claims made by Life & Style.

Alli says, "I had plans for a girls weekend, and my friends had already flown into town to meet up with me. Yes, I continued with my plans that included going to dinner and a club. How was I to predict what would happen the weekend I was gone?"

She also adds, "I love Britney, and care way more about her well-being than any of these strangers making these claims."

Guess that clears that up! Good to know these two aren't feuding!

Looks like Alli Sims is going to have to put her dreams of stardom on the back burner for a while - Life & Style is reporting that Britney's assistant's hopes for a reality show have been dashed!

Apparently, Maloof Productions - the prospective producers of Alli's show run by the same family which runs the Palms Hotel in Vegas and the Sacramento Kings NBA team - had been counting on Britney's presence as the main draw to Alli's show, but started backing away as Alli appeared to have a falling-out with the Spears family.

The breaking point, apparently, came during Britney's hospitalization crisis. “While Britney was being hospitalized in LA," an insider tells L&S, "Alli, her supposed best friend, was self-promoting in NYC. She was flown in for meetings to draw attention to her career — including her reality show. Only problem is, it’s not happening!"

Poor Alli - first she's catching hell from people for her alleged first-hand involvement in the crazy scene, and now she's paying the price from not even being on the same coast!

Alli Sims may have risen to prominence by staying close to Britney Spears' side - but it looks like she's been placed a little too close to the epicenter of recent events for comfort!

Apparently, a rumor has sprung up that not only was Alli the individual responsible for extracting Britney from the bathroom - she had to do so by using brute force!

Page Six is alleging that the aspiring singer "was with Britney at her Mulholland Drive home, trying to calm her down, but as Britney’s emotional state worsened she locked herself inside the master suite bathroom. Eventually, Sims used a hammer to break the door down and then called emergency services."

Sounds like a crazy story - in fact, it's a little too crazy for Alli! When she spoke with Us Magazine yesterday, she made sure to leave no doubt whatsoever:

"I absolutely was not there. And even if I was there I would not have banged down the door with a hammer, that's not my style. I would have knocked!"

Guess that settles that!

You can look forward to some mighty great TV, people! In Touch Weekly reports that Alli Sims, Brit's cousin and former assistant, is set to star in a reality TV show about her life. "It's going to be like a female version of Entourage, but for real," claims an insider.

Seems like Alli asked our girl Brit to appear as well, and she's agreed. Sounds like fun - we can't get enough of these two!
