Kevin's legal counsel (lawyer) hired a man (process server) to serve (deliver) legal papers to Alli. These papers are more than likely a subpoena (a legal summons or order) for Allie to appear at a deposition (meeting between her lawyer, Kevin's lawyer and Alli). At this deposition, Kevin's lawyer will ask Alli numerous questions about what she saw happen in Britney's house and about Britney's behavior. The questions will be very specific and pointed. A deposition can last for hours or days.

Everything Alli says will be recorded by a transcriptionist. The transcript of the deposition will be used against Britney in court when Kevin takes Britney to court for full custody of Sean and Jayden. Hope that clears it up.
