Is David Done?
David Archuleta may be the odds-on favorite to win Idol this season yesterday afternoon - but his performance last night may have changed things!
During his rendition of Chris Brown's "With You" last night, Archuleta struggled with the lyrics. He got taken to task for his flubs by the judges, too - Randy immediately got on his case for his choice of songs and lambasting his delivery of "my boo".
Predictably enough, Simon was even harder on Archuleta, describing his performance as being like "a chihuahua trying to be a tiger" - ouch, Simon!
The slip-up isn't Archuleta's first, of course - anyone else remember the way he hummed through "We Can Work It Out" a few months ago? - but given the effort put forth last night by Syesha Mercado and David Cook, it could prove to be deadly. Cook in particular wowed the judges - in fact, his rendition of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" earned praise from Simon as the best of the night!
So what do you think - can the voters keep Archuleta alive? Or has he made his last mistake? Either way, we can't wait to find out!
We have to agree with Simon, though - David Cook killllllllllllled it last night!
