Amy Winehouse's Mom Fears Daughter Could Be "Dead Within The Year"
Although Amy finally checked herself into rehab last week, her mom has spoken out to the Sunday Mirror about her fears for her daughter's life.
"I've already come to terms with her dead. I've steeled myself to ask her what ground she wants to be buried in, which cemetery. Because the drugs will get her if she stays on this road," says Janis Winehouse.
"She's invited me to the Grammy awards next month, but part of me thinks she won't be alive by then. I look at Heath Ledger and Britney. She's on their path. It's like watching a car crash - this person throwing all these gifts away."
It's no secret that Janis blames Amy's troubles on husband Blake Fielder-Civil. "What I hope most of all is that Amy lives to make another album - and that it's all about her divorce." Awwww, snap!
In this case, the thing that might have finally driven Amy to seek help might have been having her troubles mirrored back at her in the footage of Amy smoking crack leaked to the press.
But now that she's admitted it and is getting treatment, shouldn't her mother try to be a bit more supportive - at least publicly?
Amy's mom says she's already had the difficult conversation with Amy about where she'd like to be buried. What a horrible thing to have to bring up! But maybe it shocked some sense into her famous daughter?
