Sometimes it's admittedly hard to ignore Angelina Jolie's good deeds.
Angie wrote an op-ed piece for the Washington Post, entitled "Staying to Help in Iraq," where she reveals how her visit has "left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis."
She goes on to discuss the "potential consequences for our national security" if the humanitarian crisis is not solved, as well as the troops' investment in Iraq, saying: "They have lost many friends and want to be a part of the humanitarian progress they now feel is possible."
It's always positive to bring more attention to such a serious issue...
Jen's gonna have to step it up if she wants to compete with this!
What do you think of Angelina's goodwill efforts?
Is she really helping the matter with her celebrity power, or would things be the same without her?
