If you were legitimate enough to finish the story, you'd have gotten to the part where the biological mother ran away from home because she couldn't deal with being a mom. While I am typically a rather large fan of Angelina Jolie, I must say that this is not something I would have willingly allowed to go public. Not because its a horrible story, but because it may be something that Zahara doesn't want others to know.
When we adopted our daughter through Child Protective Services, she was 15 lbs at 1 year old. She had been starved and neglected. When we do talk to her about the WHY of her being in CPS custody, it will then be her decision to tell people or not to tell them. Just as its her choice to share that she is Adopted, not ours. She may not want others to know.

First of all where was Zahara's "mother" when Zee she was near death in an orphanage? Where was she for all the time that Zahara has been living with Agelina and Brad? 1. No mother will disclose this about her own child, so it is not likely this woman is the mother.

2. Sometimes, in countries where sleeping around is frowned at, and where the woman knows that she will be considered loose for having slept with someone and produced a baby outside of marriage, the women always claim that they were “raped” by a stranger. They never admit to consensual sex because it will destroy their reputation.

3. If this woman is the mother, then she ruthlessly abandoned her baby, not caring what would happen to it, and then she re-emerges 3 years later with a sob story??? Why did she not drop the baby off herself at an ophanage? If she could not have reported the so called rape at the begining, then why talk about it now? How does that help issues?

4. This is not the first “mother” to emerge and it will not be the last. People will do anything for money. We as fans should just ignore the dribble, and talk about our wonderful BAMPZS family and their achievements.

First and foremost, there is NO PROOF THAT that young woman is indeed Z’s biological mother. The first question which Brad and Angelina have to ask themselves is whether to test or not to test.

Second, without conclusive evidence, it is best to assume that Z biological mother is DEAD because that’s what the granny testified to. Also, I’ve now read at least 2 different versions about Z biological mother. Which to believe??

So no one should jump to the conclusion that this young woman is Z’s biological mother.

Finally I wholeheartedly agree that it is just a wonderful wonderful thing that Z now is well loved, well taken care of and has a real opportunity to grow up and live a wonderful life.

Madonna and Angelina are honestly in the baby-buying business. It is really about them (Madonna and Angelina), not about these oddly chosen children from all over. It's a nice gesture to try to formulate a microcosm of cultures and ethnicities right in your own home, but it's unrealistic and irresponsible. There are an enormous amount of American-born children in need -- of all ethnicities and these children are plucked and paid for from "exotic" locales at these movie stars' whims. Of course, everyone's business is supposedly their own, but then, if that were the case, there wouldnt' be gossip sites like this with long lists of comments of varying degrees and opinions. "I guess we're all just bootmakers to kings."

The mother has a right to say that she was raped. A lot of women would have aborted a baby from a rape. Could you deal with having a baby from a rape and being reminded of it everyday looking at that child. It's not the child's fault but it not the moms fault that she was raped either.

Are you saying every adopted child out there, whose parents chose to not raise them, should be denied a loving family because you feel adoption is a point of sale transaction?!

If anyone bothered to read any OTHER stories from not only the biological mother but the biological grandmother, they would discover the woman claims she was raped and became pregnant. After having Zahara, she decided she wasn't able to provide her with food or shelter and was "afraid the baby was dying" so she dumped the baby without word on her mom's porch and disappeared for years.

The grandmother gave the baby to the adoption folks so she wouldn't die and said her daughter had died. So Angelina adopted a DESERTED child under legal and practical senses.

And in several of these, the mother states she is coming forward to be able to see her daughter.. OH, and of course, to get some of that money from Angelina.

Anyone else think, had she found her deserted daughter adopted by a poorer local family or a non-rich normal American couple, she may not be so persistant for contact and therefore financial requests?

it's the principle of international baby-shopping that disturbs me, the arrogance. an average american citizen can't just travel around and suddenly start adopting random children from his/her random world travels. she can only do this because of her profile and her money. if angelina so desires, that kid will never see or hear of/from its mother again. Zahara would have died if she had been left in the orphanage. She was six months old and only weighed nine pounds. She was hospitalied twice right after the adoption. The birth family should just be grateful that Z is alive.

I'm adopted, and while I've known I was my whole life, it wasn't until I was 18 that I was emotionally mature enough to handle something like that as it would be with just about any child. Ugh, I am just literally SICKENED by anyone who would dare say that this child was "purchased". Despite what X17 might have you think, Angelina did not go to one of the poorest nations in the free WORLD and choose a random house to take a child from, offering the family money in exchange for the child. NOOOO...she went THROUGH AN ADOPTION AGENCY...and ZAHARA WAS LIVING IN AN ORPHANAGE AT THE TIME. The paperwork in Zahara's file clearly states tat her birth mother is dead and there are statements from the birth maternal grandmother and three other family members- signed, witnessed, notarized statements that clearly identify Zahara's birthmother as "deceased".

It's in NO WAY Angelina Jolie's fault OR problem that Zahara's biological family chose to lie so that they could be released of the financial burden of this child. That's not even considering that this woman could be outright LYING...she might not even BE Zahara's mother! Yes, there is certainly a resemblance, but there is only so many features in the world and lots of people resemble other non-related people-- especially regionally. Until a reputable diagnostic lab does a DNA test, I would not even deign to CONSIDER that this woman is Zahara's biological parent.

I know a couple that went through the same adoption agency that Angelina Jolie did. They adopted a ten-month-old baby daughter who is every bit as darling and gorgeous as Zahara is. The only difference is that they had to work a long time to save the thousands of dollars it cost to adopt, while Angelina Jolie of course already had the money. However, I do not believe she should be penalized for being wealthy...especially bearing in mind that she gives away MUCH more money than she keeps.

Angelina Jolie did what any good person wanting to adopt would do...she chose a country, picked a reputable agency, was matched with a child who had been LEGALLY abandoned by its birth family, waited the appropriate amount of time for paperwork to be completed and the adoption granted, and then went to get her daughter. She did not do ANYTHING remotely wrong or illegal.. And, as per the norm, X17 has its head so far up Britney's hind end that they don't know what the HELL they're talking about-- "it might be nice if Angelina at least allowed the woman to SEE Zahara, right"??? You have GOT to be kidding me. I feel truly and sincerely awful for this woman if she was indeed raped and this or any other child resulted from that attack. But she made a decision- a conscious decision to ABANDON that child and she had many long weeks and months to change her mind- and she did not. If this is her biological child, she should be happy that the media allows her to see so many photos of this child in a loving, happy family that embraces diversity and differences. Zahara could not ASK for a better mother than Angelina Jolie- that woman would lay down her life for her daughter and there is no way she should be punished for the mistakes of the biological family, the adoption agency, or anyone else.

If this story is correct none of the parties involved are at fault. How dare anyone question whether this woman has a right to talk about her rape. It happened to HER, not you.
