That 1% statistic is absolute c r a p Actually, a woman who is between 39 and 45 has a much greater change of having fraternal twins especially is she has already had a child. Not that matters, but i am a fraternal twin and my mom was 33 when I was born, and I have an older sister.

Obviously you people know nothing about infertility or how it feels to be infertile. Trying to get pregnant can be extremely stressful. If they knew they would have trouble conceiving on their own, then it only makes sense that with their second attempt they would seek some help. Lots of people do invitro every day in the country. If you are going to go through the cost (which isn't a big deal to them) and the shots and the monitoring, etc. then it only makes sense to alot of people to put back more than one embryo. Who knows if they wanted twins. They obviously love children, so let them be!

As soon as they said they were having twins, my first thought was fertility treatment. Heck, if I had the money, I'd pay to have twins too. You get an instant family and only have to deal with pregnancy once.

My mom was 35 when she had my brother and I (fraternal), my brother's wife had fraternal twins on her 34th birthday, and my grandmother had my mother and her fraternal twin brother when she was 38!

Last August they were having problems and rumored to be splitting and at that time it was reported she was doing in vitro to get pregnant and hold on to him because she was afraid of losing him. This is OLD NEWS from last year!

For stars it's easy to have vitro fertilization but for unknown people you have to wait 6 or 7 years before...It's all a question of money...

Angelina was too emaciated to conceive naturally, she was no longer having periods due to her weight loss last year. When the doctor said that he thought she would struggle to conceive naturally unless she put on the weight, she and Brad decided to just jump straight to it and purchase IVF. Remember, these are people who are used to having whatever they want, whenever they want, and they're happy to pay. These twins are just a symptom of their combined need for instant gratification and Angelina's weight disorder.

Obviously this is a lie. Angelina had no trouble getting pregnant the first time so now they are infertile? There are plenty of twins in the world who are not the product of invitro. Why Brad and Angelina's twin have to be invitro is stupid. I have a hard time believing P Diddy and his girlfriend had invitro for their twin girls. Saying Angelina is too thin to have kids is ridiculous. Nicole Richie is way too thin and she didn't have a problem getting pregnant.

She was WAY to underweight to be able to conceive naturally... therefore the invitro. So based upon the timing of the birth of these twins it seems they did this around the time when there was story after story of their split. Maybe these babies were to try to salvage their relationship

PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis)...With invitro allows them to choose the sex of the twins with 100% accuracy. Sounds PERFECT to me....do they happen to know anything about it???? HMMMM

Just for the record, I'm 24 pregnant with Fraternal twins, no in vitro, I have an 11 month old son, so you can bet that I wasn't trying to get pregnant to begin with...much less twins! Just because the odds are low doesn't mean it's impossible...It really doesn't matter how they were conceived, what matters is that they have 2 loving parents who will take care of them. BTW, if my friend who weighed just 88 lbs before she got pregnant, can conceive, so can Angelina Jolie...

IT's more likely than not that she had help getting preg. Due to her underweight she prob. stopped having regular periods and so since they had the money....Everyone is saying its possible to have fraternal twins under 35 but its not LIKELY if only 1% ofa chance. Who cares how they conceived? But to say that Brad, at 44 is getting too old to get it up or to conceive is CRAZY. I know men in their 70's that father kids. 44 for a man is young to have kids. He clearly has no infertility issues since he fathered Shiloh so, whatever they did, it wasn't because he was too old! where do you people get your info from? I am going thru treatments now, I am 40 and my insurance is covering it! Research your insurance plan... also 14 states have mandates saying insurance has to provide for at least state employees.
Also, you can't pick the sex of your babies, that has to do with the sperm AND you would be unable to tell when you implanted the embryos. And as someone else said you always do at least two...
Who gives a sh*t! If you are over 30 and it takes over a year to conceive, doctors say you SHOULD see a fertility specialist if you want to have more children.
As for way too thin to conceive naturally, what about all the junkies out there having babies every day???

IVF is VERY STRESSFUL!!! Such crap!!

It's a 6 week process that requires the woman to inject drugs into herself, do random blood tests, deal with a huge stomach once your eggs multiply. And then after the eggs are removed, the sperm is injected and the embryos are implanted. After that it's another waiting game to see if you're actually pregnant.

IT'S NOT FUN, IT'S NOT COMFORTABLE, AND I WOULDN'T WISH IT UPON ANYONE.

In vitro is a difficult, painful, expensive process used as a last resort when egg and sperm cant meet normally in the reproductive system for some reason. Also Brads age has nothing to do with any possible infertility. He is quite young at 44.
Now, we have on the authority of someone who is close to someone close to AJ and Brad that the children were actually grown in pods on an experimental infant god and goddess farm on a planet hidden behind mars. Brad and Angie decided to buy two to save on shipping.

1st of all, men make more sperm throughout there whole life and the qaulity does not change. However, women are born with all the eggs they are going to have for thier life, and the older they get the quality and the abitlity to fertilze also changes, Get your facts straight!

I feel that if Angie & Brad wanted children and chose to use IVF (for what ever reason) it's between them & God. Lord knows they can afford it.

This story (or/and Angelina) is very weird!

We have been trying to get pregnant for over an year. First thing doctor told me to do was to gain some weight (and I am not thin as stick, BMI 18,4). My first thought is that Angelina would never got pregnant without help, because she wast just too thin! She was anorexic when she got pregnant. I live in Europe and in my country no doctors would have done anything before she would have gained weight at least 10kg. Think that´s possible in Lalaland, to be Angelina Jolie and normal weight? If you have the money, why not buy everything. You don´t have to wait, stress and eat... Makes me feel sad, because I would do anything to get pregnant healthily...
