Is Angelina The Next Tom Cruise?

I love Angie but stars gets replaced all the time.

Why would anyone want to be an action hero? All of those movies are the same. Hero totes gun, shoots people, rattles off stupid one liners, wins. The end. Muchness of the sameness.

Looks like Angie's going to settle into the most boring role in Hollywood. Action Hero. Also, how is making movies for sixteen year old boys breaking new ground? So, now we have a chick making movies for sixteen year old boys. Not what I would call feminism, but whatever. Thanks, but no thanks.

Nothing else has worked for her but action because she's a lackluster actress. Despite her bizarre claims of retirement and her faux concern over world poverty, she seems to be all about the $$$. Whoever's paying actors like her and Pitt over the top money and for subpar performances seems out of touch. They are not box office slam dunks. Just hire good performers with a good story and movies will rock. The age of the movie star is over, other than the rare exception.

There's enough gun toting in the world without watching it on screen. Sounds perfect for Jolie, although I couldn't care less who plays the part. I like comedies.

Have to admit, I might have to watch it, with Russel Crowe, Liev Schrieber, or maybe John Travolta were in it. Don't think I could stomach Jolie or Cruise.

Female action heroes rock. Unfortunately Jolie is not a good actress, but there needs to be more women in those roles. And not with the ridic body padding like they used on her in Tomb Raider. Linda Hamilton in Terminator was awesome

Cruise and Jolie both have dead, vacant eyes in those pix. Yes you can be dead and vacant and still be a star (See Paris Hilton). All you need is a good PR team. And yes, Jolie does have a PR team (s) despite claims to the contrary. You don't actually think Jolie arranges all of her interviews and all of those press conferences touting her 'charity' work all by herself do you?

Halle Berry is hot. Her man is hot. Their kid is cute. They are low-key and humble and never sold pictures of their kid to People Mag for PR. They're all good in my book. And so is Halle's Academy Award. She was the first black woman to win a lead Actress oscar so if she wants to talk about color I'm all for it.

I like "Changeling" and I like"The Last Samuri" and also Liev Schrieber is a cool Sabertooth. Most people enjoy action movies and it's good to see new faces all the time. It's o.k to see a character played by different actors. Spiderman is getting sickning, someone else should play the part, just like the Incredible Hulk is better than the first hulk and the T,V, Hulk. That's progress. There should be another "Battlefield Earth", I liked the first one. Tom Cruise can be a hero in a second one, since he believes in that mumbo jumbo.

Ironman was a surprise. It had a solid script with unexpected humor.

Angelina is a good action star as well as Drama and a bit of comedy. Changeling or Merian Pearl she didn't scream for two hours, hear say is how rumors are made. Maybe that type of drama isn't your cup of tea but let's see a mother just pout after her child get's taken or husband beaten and beheaded. Tom is an Icon but Angelina is also an Icon, it's just a fact. Angelina can, has and will stand on her own and still be loved around the world.

Ok - Seriously I have never commented about this before. Last night I tried to be objective and I watched The Changling.

You have got to be kidding me if someone thinks that her acting is talent. If anything she has gotten worse with age. Besides the fact that she had a completely one note performance, you get a vibe from her off the screen that is not genuine. I cannot feel for her at all...maybe it's just me? She was literally the worst part of that movie. Malcovich and the guy from Burn Notice were great but AJ ruined it for me. Besides her acting being terrible, her body is so gangly and boney that I Could not get past it. She looks malnutritioned. So seriously people saying she is a talented woman, I just don't believe you actually think that. That movie was terrible and clearly was only nominated for anything to get press for the award shows.

And AJ isn't loved by the world. She has always been an outcast in Hollywood because she's such a phony. I will fight anyone about this, I am more sure than ever that Brangeloonies are out of their minds...

Beautiful in your opinion - not mine. I am not into the skeletor look. And she has many many people helping her look the way that she does. Beauty has nothing to do with the fact that I think she is a phony.

You don't know if she's a loving mother. In my opinion she's not because a loving mother wouldn't sell pictures of their kids and plaster them on pages of a trashy magazine to make a quick buck. Why is it that she only brings her children out when she has a movie to promote? That's not a loving mother, that's using your child. Many other celebrity mothers are seen with their children at the park, shopping, out to eat daily. Never the Jolie-Pitts unless they have something to promote or bad press to hush. They are master manipulators & it's really not that hard to figure out.

And as for the bottom part I have no desire to tell you about my life becasue you would say it was a lie anyway but I'm perfectly content with myself. Lots of people get paid lots of money to be in movies. And just because Hollywood dishes out the cash for these so-called stars does not mean they have talent or that certain "It" quality.

No one will ever be able to explain Tom Cruise's appeal to me. Or Jolie's. Or Paris Hilton. Yes, Paris No Talent Hilton has raked in over a $100 million in the last few years. So please don't make the argument that these people are awesome just because someone pays them lots of money.

She's not popular with the public. Probably why she's going back to action. Producers make the common mistake of confusing tabloid interest with box office success. Her movies don't do well. She seemed so sure she was going to get Oscars. If you have to rely on dumb political awards shows to justify someone's talent, then that speaks for itself. All that matters is what's on screen and what's on screen is "lackluster." That word seems to have the trolls in a frenzy because it's accurate. Her face doesn't even look like herself anymore and is starting to look strange. Everyone cares about the world. Big deal. Everyone would love to fly around and take photo ops and be called a great humanitarian for showing up and smiling at the camera. Maybe someone should look into what she has actually donated compared to what she has claimed she donated.
