I was admitted to the hospital at 28 weeks with strong contractions and spendt 5 weeks in the hospital, delivering at 33 weeks. One daughter came home at 3 weeks, one at 5 weeks. I was very happy to be in the hospital.

France's national health care system is ranked 5th best in the world. Pregnant women with multiples are usually hospitalized for several weeks before delivery for safety of mom and babies. Cost is not considered like in the US which is ranked 37th in the world. Preventive care is emphasized. Drs are very cautious and the well being of the pregnant woman/babies is most important.
