The verdict is in - and Larry Birkhead has been declared the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn! After a protracted court battle, the Bahamanian courts finally decided that DNA evidence proves Birkhead is the baby daddy!
It's important to note, we hasten to add, that simply demonstrating the same genes as Dannielynn doesn't necessarily guarantee Birkhead access to Anna Nicole's much-discussed millions, which are still tied up in a legal battle that reaches all the way to the Supreme Court. (The Washington Post has an informative runthrough of the battle over Anna's arguably-inherited billions if you'd like a brush-up.) Of course, by virtue of the paternity afforded him by this case, Birkhead would be in a much better position to claim any monies assigned by the Supreme Court, but it should go without saying that we're a long way away from leaving Anna Nicole to rest in peace!
