Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austrian. The 12th Amendment prohibits the U.S. vice president from being foreign-born. Schwarzenegger’s supporters would have to persuade the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives to pass a constitutional amendment. The amendment must ratified by the states then signed by the U.S. President.
