Ash has been in New York these past few days making promotional appearances for Melrose place, sticking to her fashion uniform of all black.

It's like someone told her that New Yorkers never wear any color so she packed nothing but black outfits for her entire trip - which, with the bright red hair and the pale skin makes her look like she's constantly in costume! Oh, and that hat with the oversize glasses? A bit ridic, if you ask me.

Lighten up, Ash! We love seeing you in bright color when you're in LA!

Ashlee, currently in the Big Apple doing promos for her new show, Melrose Place, was looking more Vampira than Violet last night!

With her auburn hair, pale skin, blood red lips and all black ensemble, looks like she's giving Queen Sophie-Anne (Evan Rachel Wood) a run for her money!

Think Ash would be more at home on the goth set of True Blood than one of LA's most infamous streets?

The younger Simpson sister is currently in New York staying at The London and, let's face it... she's gradually going from emo to goth. Almost vampirish, if you ask me! Is this look hot or not on Pete Wentz's babymama?

Last night Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz went to Pace for dinner, and Ash looked like she was bored to tears when we snapped the duo arriving at the restaurant. Maybe Ash wasn't in the mood to be photographed? Aww, but she looked so cute! Perhaps she was pissed because Pete borrowed her pants and eyeliner without asking...again?

Ah, there we go! But has Ashlee gone the Lindsay Lohan route with her lips?

So she lost the baby weight super fast to begin shooting Melrose Place... great! Go her. But this is a little ridiculous. Pete Wentz's babymama hit up Bardot last night in this super-cute outfit, but all we care about is how rail-thin she looks.

Mischa, take note! But seriously, Ash Simpson needs to gain a couple pounds, and quickly.

Who knew these two were close gal pals? Sure, they're both on CW television shows (90210 and the upcoming Melrose Place), but we never would have guessed that Ashlee Simpson and Shenae Grimes were BFFs!

The ladies were snapped holding hands as they left the Troubadour to watch John Mayer perform last night, and even though they weren't super friendly with photogs, we did catch them giggling as they headed to Shenae's car! Hmm, but how would Jessica feel about her sister going to her ex-boyfriends concert? Maybe she doesn't care because she knows John and Ash's hubby Pete are buddies? Still, that's gotta sting...you know Jess probably wishes she was the one on Ash's arm!

With Pete on tour, Ashlee's living the life of a single mom. But being single doesn't mean she's completely solo, Papa Joe was on hand last night to escort his little girl to dinner at Il Piccolino!

Although Ashlee looks stunning (and skinny!), there's something slightly creepy about the way Joe's dressed more like a guy Ashlee's age than her pops. Before my eyes fully focused on him and his neck waddle, (not enough coffee this morning), I actually thought Ash was stepping out on Pete with this Abercrwannabe! And then I immediately went to wash my mind out with soap when I realized it was Daddy Simpson.

Luckily, Ash was able to ditch dad later for a night out with the girls at Bardot. Come home soon Pete!

Yesterday Ashlee Simpson and little Bronx were snapped at Creation Station in Studio City, and we're not sure what's in store for the celebaby's future, but signing up for dance and music classes certainly can't hurt! Bronx seemed unfazed by the cameras, and his curious antics made the normally pouty Ashlee crack a smile. Awww, looks like motherhood has totally mellowed her out!

And you know what? We love this casual, hippie-inspired getup!

Ashlee was snapped arriving at the Court Theater yesterday, and the singer/actress appeared to be in an uncharacteristically good mood as photographers snapped away. Hey, if we looked that svelte just seven months after giving birth, we'd be smiling too!

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz hit up the AXE Instinct Power Of Leather Launch Party, and while it looks like they were dressed appropriately for the event, I can't resist making fun of them!

Pete's wearing almost as much foundation as Ashlee (helloooo, has he heard of blending? There's base in his sideburns!) and Ash looks like a cross between the little mermaid and a dominatrix barbie doll. This isn't necessarily an insult - Ashlee does look super hot (and skinny) here, but this outfit totally looks like something you'd see on the red carpet at the AVN awards. Hey, maybe that's the direction Ashlee's headed? I kid, I kid. Well...

Everyone's favorite emo fam visited The Fast Life - Travis Barker's store on 3rd street - this Saturday, each decked out in dark emo clothes and sunglasses, natch. I know they're still a young group, but Ash and Pete still look adorable together. And Bronx is cute too!
