A statewide Amber Alert was issued after authorities say a 22-month-old child was taken at knifepoint from her mother in San Leandro.

The alert was issued Thursday morning after Alameda County authorities said 26-year-old Luis Meza Valdiva took his daughter, Yosseline Carolina Meza, from a home in an unincorporated area of San Leandro.

He was last seen driving a white 1992 four-door Toyota Camry driving on Highway 99 through Turlock.

The Camry's license plate number is 5GBD911
