Suzy - ITA. It is a heartbreaking situation but there does seem to be hope she will continue to get better. My friend's daughter is bi-polar and I know what she has been through (3 suicide attempts and she's only 18). Her mom and I have cried a bucket of tears together. The battle is extremely difficult for the person fighting their demons as well as the family going through it with them. A lot of patience, understanding and love can only help however it is all easier said than done especially when the person gets into that but I feel better so I don't need my meds...and so it all begins again.

I do wonder, now that she is a little more coherent than she was over the last 18 months or so, if she see's now all the terrible images she was portraying. I'm sure she is embarrassed of her actions, but she was so out of control at the time with nobody there to constructively help her that all of it was inevitable.

If you play the video there is a shot of a helicopter hovering above. Coincindence? Maybe. Maybe not.

There were police and news helicopters over the Summit both times she was sectioned.

However, the other photos and video are probably from neighboring balconies. In commercial districts with shops and restaurants, this angle is fairly easy to acquire.

If you look at a cross-section of images, the angle is approximately tree canopy height. It’s highly improbable a helicopter could repeatedly hover at such a low level in an exclusive residential neighborhood without serious complaints to the LAPD and FAA.

I have also noticed long lens image compression in some of the photos of the boys.

I believe the Summit only has two gates. Photo agencies tend to designate teams for high profile celebrities. The teams usually consist of 2-3 paparazzi to track their movements. In Brit’s case, I read that X17 uses a least one three-man team and she is also known to frequent a handful of places.

If you have a chance, watch the CNN Feature “Chasing Angelina.” It demonstrates how small teams of paparazzi perform without the use of helicopters.

I really think the helicopter could have nothing to do with Brit. I live about 40 miles from a major city, but very near a major commuter highway/interchange and we see the 3 major news helicopters at least twice a day. With L.A. being so enormous, I would think there are many other news stories and X17 just "decided" to include it in their footage

I tend to think X17’s exclusive use of independent contractors rather than professional photographers is the reason their photographs and video footage are often low quality - and include extraneous material in the video footage.

It would be MUCH more interesting if we could prove one or more photo agencies used helicopters! :^)

I'm thinking that it's not so much the videographer that's to blame, but the editor of the footage...

The editor is making conscious decisions to include certain footage and exclude others. A shot of a helicopter (related or not) goes a long way in creating "excitement" in an opening sequence when there is little other excitement to be found...
