I'm not a fan btw, i've enjoyed toxic and a few of her tunes, but have never bought anything of hers, though i'd turn alot of it up on the radio. But I am a huge fan of human rights, and what I've seen happen to her would have been unimaginable to me before....how can a justice system work when a person so seriously affected by the process is not being represented?

Im the same way...I'm not in love with the girl but I like a few off blackout, and Im more interested in the way the legal system has screwed her around.. the system trapped her in something she cannot possibly get out of.

jamie spears probably reads here daily...after all, it's been him that assures she is photographed and on this site every day (i don't think tmz are covering her as much anymore), and when he reads our posts, he panics and knows it's only a matter of time before his game is up.

What I perhaps find more concerning than what has happened, is how everyone (at least on these sites) seem to applaud it, not thinking for a moment that if they win the lotto their relatives might try to pull the same on them.

She is huuuuge in the press....yet, not once have i seen a panel of intelligent people gathered questioning or showing any concern about what has happened to her. It's like she's become the character in the truman show, with everyone feeling it's their right to manipulate her life the way they want, simply because she's a public figure and the ways she's behaving doesn't accord with the minivan majority's idea of how a mom should behave.

So, why isn't Showbiz Tonight or some other show asking how she can be entering into and performing all these contracts but not be considered fit to speak to a lawyer??

I guess no one is supposed to question them because they are family...and to question them would mean you don't want to see britney get better...that's the spin they seem to have going these days.

Yeah...they keep saying how much better she looks...i think she looks pretty much the same...not so great when not professionally done up, but pretty fantastic when professionally done (eg HIMYM)...not unlike most celebs, except the very young who don't need as much makeup. And I'm not saying women need make up, i hate it and wear it only when i have to...but if i was a celeb and getting photographed and had the money to pay someone to make me look better first, once in awhile i'd splurge.

I also don't see that she's getting "better" at all...are we supposed to believe she's better simply because she's meeting with people like Maloof? Because she's been forced back into performing business as usual?

I think this is a girl that needed a serious break from the biz and public eye to discover who she was, but the people around her now don't want her to do that.
I don't think she's long term mentally ill or anything..i think she missed out on doing the crazy things most of us do as teens, cause she was working...so like many people who have done that, she went through all that partying stuff, that she'd never really experienced and saw her husband enjoying...contd.

Everything was downhill from when larry hooked her up with paris...when she flashed herself, well, she didn't need to do that!

I actually think she was better hanging with ali & sam than paris and that bunch....i don't see the big deal with riteaid trips at midnite, that's why it's open 24 hours. Anyhow, she was probably devastated and wanted to show her husband that she could party bigger and better than him...all speculation on my part of course. And i think she probably started using coke or something, which would explain so much of this...i mean why did they send her to promises? I think with some time out of the spotlight she can be fine and make a reasoned decision about whether and how much she wants to be back in it. Mariah did just fine after her breakdown, but her parents were far more discrete and didn't exploit her during that time.

I think she was pulling away from the business a bit...seemed to have had enough of the people in it (she sure seemed to hit it off with people like kfed and jason alexander, and they are both "ordinary" people) and preferred hanging with people like sam and ali over industry types. I've got to say, i dont' remember ever seeing sam or ali wasted on drugs or alcohol.

So...they forced her back into the industry...too weird...she's made enough money that she can afford to take a break...it's not like anyone's gonna forget her in 2 years.

So funny...sam & ali have been replaced with Mel Gibson....crazy that she can't pick her own friends and is forced to hang with a man who calls women sugar tits, drinks & drives, and has had 2 kids in rehab, one for crack. Well done pa!

yeah I think she wanted a break. She did start the partying with paris.. she was way into a lot of stuff I think at that point..and neither sam nor ali were ever wasted..I think Sam and Ali might have had a say in when to call it quits for the night and go home..they were trying to be a good influence on her I believe...they say that ali and sam were bad for her, but they couldnt ban her from going out, all they could really do was go out with her and try to keep an eye out for her..I think they did as much as they possibly could do, in the position they were in.. they were not trying to control her affairs.. you can only do so much as a friend..which they did..
