Britney Spears mental problems are not understood at all. The medical profession and psychiatrists do not know what insanity is, or what mental problems are from. They readily admit this. They are not able to cure insanity at all since they do not know where it comes from or what it is. All they can do is use chemical drugs (medication) to "control" it. And it does not always work, but can backfire and have major side effects.

Britney is mentally challenged to a major degree as we have all seen, and it’s for life. And if she misses a couple or more doses then it can send her in to a psychotic state again. It’s NOT curable, and it runs real deep with her and her family line. It really does seem to be genetic with her family line. Check out the history of her family and all the problems they have had (alcohol, drug abuse, babies dying, and her aunt’s suicide at her baby’s grave with a shotgun, her two uncles that are on welfare and also mentally challenged who live in trailers such as her uncle road kill Willy, getting pregnant at young ages, and all the rest of it).

All that can be done is to control her and keep her medicated for life. That is not someone that major investors are going to want to take a chance on. Especially since she already has a very bad track record already of major instability: cancelled tours, freaking out and not showing up for shows or court, being forcibly carted off to psych wards twice, losing her babies, drugs/alcohol, failed marriages, fighting with and suing insurance companies, fighting with her family and with the courts, telling judges and record companies to go to Hell, attacking the media, and on and on and on. She is a major liability and no one in their right mind wants to take a real chance on her anymore by investing millions of dollars on her when she is ultimately going to cancel out of a tour or other long term engagement, then freak out and end up in a psych ward again from all the pressure that goes with fame.

Also, she is not a huge seller anymore like she was at the beginning of her career. She is not on talk shows anymore like Letterman, Leno etc., or asked to be on major professional mags (not tabs) like Cosmopolitan, Elle etc. She is now a major tabloid fixture which is usually for the no talents like Paris Hilton or for someone whose career is over. She also seems to love the attention of the tabs and even dated one of them (Adnan) which no celebrity in their right mind would ever do.

She will never have a major comeback or be any ware near the level she was at near the beginning of her career. She is to far gone mentally. She will now go out with a few guest spots on TV and maybe a small House of Blues kind of tour, and also as a tabloid fixture. There is nothing left for her now. She is over!

I have to agree with you (1:25 PM). Funny thing is that all the Britney fans just can't see all of that. Britney IS under a major conservatorship at the age of 26, and is haevily controlled by everyone around her. She is on major psychiatric drugs, her babies have been taken away, and her dad has to watch every move she makes. She is a very, very, very, long way from being ok or fine. It will take years to get her to a stable point where she can be left on her own. And it will take even longer before she can even be left alone with her babies. Yet all the people around her and her fans that are left only care about more CD's and making more money off of her. That's what drove her crazy in the first place.

I feel real bad for her. She must be under an incradible amount of pressure and can't do anything about it. She will probably have another major breakdown in a year or so. I wish they would just leave her alone and let her get her life together, which wlll take quite some time.

Wow anon 1:25, that certainly is a summary right there. Personally I have never seen anyone physically change so much in such a short amount of time, well with the exception of Michael Jackson, but that's different. She used to be amazing looking just a few years ago, now she looks like someones nana. Poor thing.

I really wonder if Britney actually has/had a mental illness. No doubt that she has had breakdowns, but just because you have a breakdown, doesnt mean your insane for life. I think Britney truly is getting better and that she will soon be back on her own again.
It seems that things for Britney started to go downhill when she left K-Fed. She started going out to clubs all the time, partying with Paris Hilton. I definitely think she had a drug problem. Im not saying she should have stayed with K-Fed, but when a marriage ends, it definitely takes a emotional/mental toll on you. The fact that everyone in the media was celebrating their seperation, im sure also took its toll on Britney, not to mention that the paparazzi presence in her life increased dramatically.
Now that she has had the rest/break that she so deperately needed, she seems to be doing very well.

The difference between Britney and those other "crazy" artists is that those other crazy artists are still able to do their jobs, and they are able to perform on a regular basis. But with Britney, she has been unstable for years, and she is “not” predictable at all. She can and does lose investors millions of dollars. You can be as crazy as you want as long as you do your job and show up, then they will still stand behind you (investors, studios etc.). But when you start to lose them big amounts of money and are so unpredictable that they just can't rely on you then it becomes a major problem. The business is run by money for money. If you are going to lose them a tone of money, like Britney did on her last major tour (ONYX), then yes, they will stop backing you. And when you start to attack them and sue them and act crazy all the time, like Britney does a lot, then it’s over.

Britney is very unpredictable. She also tells them all to go to hell. She fires her managers, publicists, her help, and everyone else on a regular basis. She does not listen to her bosses but runs amok and crazy all the time. She cancels shows; she does a ton of crazy things to such an extent that she loses them big money and is a huge headache and problem to them. When it gets to that point then they will not hire her again for world tours and any major commitments with millions and millions of dollars behind her.

And as for those that try and say that most of the artists out there are crazy, well that is NOT true. Most are sane and rational, and quite dependable. They are really interested in art and being professional. The justification that "most artists are crazy" is just an attempt to justify Britney’s actions and make it look like she is “normal” and will be back in a major way with a “huge comeback”.

Britney does not have a career left, at least not a major one like she did at the beginning of her career before everyone in the world found out who she really is. As is plain to see, she is and will be mentally challenged for the rest of her life now. She will be on meds and monitored for the rest of her life by her family, doctors, and psychiatrists. And no major investors will take a chance with major investments on her for a world tours and such major investments again. They got all the big money out of her that they could and used her up. Now they will move on.

Britney will get a few more guest spots on low grade TV show for a while (since she is not a good actress), and she may do a small House of Blues kind of tour, but the big time is now over. She is now just a tabloid queen and that will end soon too. She is already getting less and less of that also. A lot of other websites are not running many stories on her much anymore. X17 is one of the last ones to give her lots of attention now. But even they will fade in time. This is actually the best for Britney since she will then have a real chance to get better to some degree over the years if she is left alone.

OMG. The expressions on her face make her look like a complete, total imbecile. Are there any lights at all inside her head? She's not only buxom but idiotic and anyone who thinks she looks good in these photos needs to have their eyes examined. Britney is becoming obese and she looks like a moron. I don't think the c-ship is going to end anytime soon. She has a looooong way to go before she can be let out of her cage to run free. If they let her go right now, she would just go completely crazy and end back up on drugs/alcohol, major promiscuity, and then back to the mental ward.

I'm sure the c-ship will be extended for quite some time at the end of July. I actually feel sorry for her dad Jamie. It must be taking its tool on a 50+ year old man to watch and control her 24/7. He might even have a breakdown of his own in time.

Britney will never have a major comeback. She is very unstable mentally which won’t change. She is too crazy for any record company to invest multi-millions of dollars on a world tour which she WILL end up canceling on. She is never going to be sane again since her problems in her mind are for life and run deep. There is no cure, only constant and heavy medication and supervision. If she misses out on her meds for long enough, she will then lose it again.

Her knee injuries will not let her dance anymore since she has had two operations on her knee (once in 1999 then in 2004 on the same knee). The insurance companies don't want to insure her since she tried to sue 10 of them right after the ONYX tour (seven of them in Europe), and she lost. When you are unpredictable and attack your investors, insurance companies, record companies, and constantly fire your managers, publicists and help, and attack the courts and judges, and also your parents for years, then those very people will not trust you anymore or want to take a major financial chance on you again. They know the loses will be in the tens of millions.

So since her fame was based on her looks and dancing on stage, which now she has lost her looks for life, and she can't dance each night on stage anymore, she is now over. Only a few people will want to watch a boring show with her lip-synching while standing still in front of a fake microphone. It was all the dancing and the show that gave it life on stage. It was the one thing she could do somewhat well, and that is dance in a show.

Each CD she has put out has sold less in the same amount of time of its release then the one before it. Her statistics have had a straight downward trend through her career in the US and Worldwide. Her fist CD (BOMT) sold around 11.5 million within about 1 year from its release (US figures). Her second one (OIDIA) sold around 7.5 Million within the first year of its release. And all of that was based on her false image that the record companies created of her, which was nothing like the “real” Britney. Definitely not the real Britney that we all know now. Her third CD (Britney) sold around 3.5 million within the firs year from its release. Then the record companies put out In The Zone, which only sold around 2 million within the first year of release (again, US figures). Now her latest one, Blackout, has only sold less then 1.5 million in close to a year of sales. And it was heavily reported that Jive bought a lot of it with downloads to push up sales in order to make it look like a hot seller. They were not able to do any promo with Britney since she refused to cooperate and do anything for it. Also her fans were creating major drives to get all her fans to buy multiple copies to drive up the sales figures. So that 1.5 million is a false statistic. It is actually quite a bit less then that even. Her worldwide sales followed the same pattern and downward trend with all her CD’s

At the beginning of her career, no one had to buy multiple copies to drive up sales. And record companies did not have to buy there own product as promo to create an image of a hot selling CD. But then again, no one knew the real Britney then, the sweet and beautiful (photoshopped) girl that was just a fake. No one knew she was a lip-syncher then or that her vocals were heavily enhanced and fixed in the studio with Pro Tools and major pitch shifting and correcting software. They did not know that her cool “life story” that the studios and record companies created was completely fabricated and false. Now we see the real Britney, which no one wants except for a few needy fans that have to have that image in their lives in order to survive and deal with their empty lives. Or need her current image since it relates to their own messed up and out of control lives.

She is now just a tabloid fixture which is the lowest form of fame. It does not pay you and its not respectable or career enhancing. She will only get small parts for a while like HIMYM or another House of Blues mini tour since no major investors want to take a chance on investing in a world tour that she will cancel out on, or a major movie role that she will mess up big time. She is already fading away and will completely in a little more time. The public is already getting tired of her since you can only watch a mentally challenged person who is on a self-destruct for so long before you get bored.

Britney is a Disney manufactured sex product who is past her expiration date. Definitely past her prime! She's not a Madonna, Cher, or Mariah who have real talent and staying power and brains. She never had any talent, only great looks which are gone now for good. She is now just a tabloid queen which is the lowest form of fame, which also does not pay you or give you any respect.

She was marketed as a sex kitten but those days are long over for her. She looks like a middle-aged woman now. Sure she'll always have a small fan base who remember what she once was and who have old posters of her on their bedroom walls. But the rest of the world has moved on and left this mentally ill, untalented has-been far behind. And as for the head shaving, the erratic mentally ill behavior and insanity... Nah. Britney got real upset when she cancelled her ONYX tour and she tried to sue 10 insurance companies. I think 7 of them were from Europe, and she lost. They did no pay her since they said she broke the contract and lied about not having any prior injuries. But she did, she had her leg operated on in 1999. The same leg and knee she had go bad on her ONYX tour in 2004.

She just keeps loosing all her lawsuits. She lost the one against US magazine. She lost the one with the investors that backed her NYLA restaurant. She lost the one against NIKE shoes. And she is losing the one's she is involved in with Kevin and her babies. She has had to pay millions over the last year and a half.

She is also the one that started this lawsuit against Kevin and everyone else involved in it. She did not want Kevin to have 50% custody and was jealous and angry when he would not come back to her. So out of spite she tried to take them completely away from him. And now look, she has lost complete custody of her kids and only has limited visitation. She is under a very strict conservatorship ordered by the courts and run by her father. She is an alcoholic and drug addict. She is on heavy meds and she is being micro-managed to death by everyone around her and watched by a team of handlers such as psychiatrists, doctors, guards, assistants and the rest of the “help”.

It’s called Karma, and she is getting it big time. She sues then loses; she treats people and her fans like garbage and gives them no respect. She attacks everyone around her, and treats her babies really bad and neglects them. If she would stop attacking people and acting like a spoiled brat, and acting so gross and disgusting, then she would probably save herself millions of dollars, not to mention her sanity!

Britney’s children were TAKEN AWAY from her.....you have to be a pretty terrible mother for that to happen, and celebrities get more leniency than the common citizen.....I think that speaks volumes about what a person Twitney Spears is. Her kids were TAKEN AWAY from her buy the courts.....she has only limited visitation, no custody.....these are facts that cannot be denied, yet the Britards continue to defend her, even though it is legally documented that she is a neglectful and dangerous mother.

BRITNEY IS NOT GETTING BETTER! She is being micro-managed and controlled to the extreme by her parents, the courts (legal system), a huge team of handlers (psychiatrists, doctors, assistants, guards etc.). She is on major meds and has no will or choice of her own. So anyone saying that she is getting better is nuts and it's just wishful thinking. You get better when it is YOUR own self-determined drive to do so. When it is forced on you in such a major way, as it is in Britney’s case, then it is not something you are deciding yourself, then you end up having major resentments towards the people that are forcing it on you. Britney is just as mentally challenged as ever. She is simply being controlled to the extreme with drugs and force. With all the people around her telling her what to do, and all the medication she is on, she’s just a zombie now. She has no choice.

And if they have to control her to that extreme, then you know she is quite crazy and is no where near being better. If she was better or even way better, THEN SHE WOULD NOT NEED ALL THAT CONTROL BEING FORCED ON HER. And the biggest point is that if she does NOT do what they say, she will end up back under lockdown in a psychiatric facility, which she knows will happen, and which has happened twice now.

When the conservatorship is over, she will cut lose since the one thing Britney hates more then anything is people controlling her and telling her what to do like they have all her life. She will revert back to her old out of control ways just to get even with everyone that controlled her and told her what to do. She has already shown how much she hates her family (mother and father) and how she was trying to get away from them, who are now the very people that are “legally” controlling her every move at the age of 26. When the conservatorship is over, look out world, Britney will be twice as crazy as she ever was!

Britney is developing that insane, out-of-control look that she had after she shaved her head and bashed a car with her umbrella. What happened to the carefree person we saw in Costa Rica last week? Maybe this manic phase was incurred by having to pretend to be a Mother and get back to exercising at the gym. Anything to avoid responsibility and/or the reality that she's no longer a pop star. Britney has been losing money for the last few years. She used to be at $120,000,000 around 2002. Now she only has a fraction of that. She used to tour all the time, she was paid big money all the time for being on the cover of major magazines, TV show, TV spots, and a ton of other things she was always doing, and major merchandising. And now all she has done in the last few of years is HIMYM, twice, which is a low grade situation comedy. It was also close to being cancelled. Then there was the failed House of Blues mini tour, and her failed VMA’s which only solidified her “being over” status.

If you look at it, an artist makes most of their money off of touring and merchandise. The record companies usually make most of the money off of the artists CD's. In fact, those artists usually don't even see any money off of their CD's for a long time. That is why artists do so much merchandising these days, tours, and guest spots on shows etc. That is where they get their money.

Each CD that Britney has put out has sold way less in the first six months from its release then the previous CD she put out. Her last one (Blackout) sold only around 1.5 million here in the US to date, and another 1 million+ worldwide. And Jive had to buy a lot of those downloads in order to hype sales and was their way to promote her CD since she was not being cooperative and would not show up for any kind of promotion.. This was latter confirmed by CNN and channel 7 news about Jive buying downloads of well over 100,000 copies near the release of her CD to hype sales. Employees that left Jive around that time also confirmed it.

And her fans admitted to buying multiple copies to try and drive the sales up. They even started drives on the net to do so. But when Britney first came out, no one had to do anything like that. Yet none of that money from her CD sales does she see until much later if the sales are really great. Since she has not done a tour since 2004, four years ago (the house of blues does not count as a real tour, and she did not make any real money off of that), and her perfumes are not selling well now for the last couple of years, and all the major bills she has, you can bet she is NOT making any real money now. So a false report of her making around $700,000 a month is ridiculous.

If she was to make 7,000,000 a months, that would be around $8,400,000 a year. That is not that much after you look at all her expenses and her major lifestyle. And especially when you take in to account the IRS who gets a big amount of it. All her house payments, all her lawyer fees, child support, all the help (bodyguards, nanny’s, doctor bills such as psychiatrists, and all the medical bills, her parents. Then there are the legal costs of her cars, insurance for houses, herself, her kids, her businesses, all the court costs and a ton of other expenses and bills she has. Then there is all the major spending she does all the time on buying new properties and cars and a lot of other things. You also have to remember all the people that were ripping her off for quite some time such as Sam Lufti, and Adnan, and others. Her accountants may have been fixing the books too. And at this time she does not even have control of her money now since her powers were taken away from her by a court of law and given to her parents who have been making big money off her since she was a child. She is now just getting an allowance of $1,500. She has sued a lot of people in the past and lost, such as US magazine and others, and been sued by others in the past such as Nike, and other business partners and such. And she has lost all those lawsuits. And now she is involved in major lawsuits with her X-husband that she started by filing the papers first because she did not want him to have 50% custody since she was angry at him. And because of this she now has no custody and is now mentally unbalanced to a very deep degree by her own doing.

She is most certainly NOT making the big money she used to. If she had around $120,000,000 in 2002. That means she made well over 40 million a years from around 2000 to 2002 (about three years). But you know the first year (1999) does not make that much since she had to pay others in order to catch up when you first start. That is common for all artists and their contracts. They don’t see any money the first year or even the second sometimes. So most of that was in the second and third years. Now she is probably making more like 2 million a year at this time in residuals and kickbacks etc.

Her mental bills alone must be enormous. And all the help she pays is huge, and all her legal bills are incredible. She is paying big outward, and is getting very little back. That is why her parents are so desperate to get her on HIMYM and any other shows. That is why they put a major leash on her and a court ordered conservatorship and are now controlling all her money. That is why they are so desperate to get out a new CD and everything else to get her to tour and sell merchandise. That is why her father took a whole bunch of her cars back and is trying to sell off property and everything they don’t’ need for her. Even the IRS said she had not been paying her bills on some items. She is a mess and does not have anywhere close to the money she used to have. It is very realistic that she may be broke in two or three years if her handlers do not do something about it right now.

We will now have to see what they do with her and how it turns out in the next two to three years. In the mental state she is in right now, it is possible she may never fully recover mentally or even financially. If she had been left to run around crazy the way she was doing, then she would have ended up broke for certain in a couple more years or so and quite possibly even dead.

At this point all we can do is wait and see what happens. But one thing is sure. She will never be as famous, rich, and together as she looked for the first three years of her career, not even close.

I can only imagine that she puts in a half-assed attempt at the gym, thereby not making any progress, just like the feeble effort she makes in parenting her two kids.

In Britney’s recent court papers that her accountants and lawyers had to file (under oath), to the courts, which are public knowledge and were released, they stated that Britney is now worth less then 30 million. So reports from unreliable magazines that she is making 7 hundred thousand a month are not valid. And her costs are far above what she pays just to Kevin. She has had to pay millions already to all the lawyers, courts, her bodyguards, her insurance companies, bad business deals, the IRS, and a ton of other things. She does not even run her own life or money right now, so in effect she is broke since daddy and mommy have it all. And she does not make 9 million a year, she has been doing poorly with her perfume for the last few years, it’s not selling well. Her dad just had to send back cars of hers and try to sell off property and other assets since she is falling apart mentally and financially.

It will be no surprising at all to find out a couple of years from now that she IS broke and insane. Oh wait, she’s already is insane!
