Loving your child and being a good mother can be two different things. A good mother puts the interests of her children ahead of her own. She stays home with them once in awhile. She feeds them. She changes their diapers. She gets up and goes to them when they cry at night. Most of all she is a positive, stable and nurturing presence in their lives. My frustration is the "headlines" that are targeting her that can AFFECT CHANGE ON HER INNOCENT KIDS LIVES forever. What the hell is the press like "us" and other websites thinking? I get that this is a business, however - we are humans, and these children are innocent beings. Regardless of Brittany's behavior, she is obviously not having a "gem" of times in her life, why kick her when she is down? and most of all....why put these precious beings in the front and center. Why isn't there more entities out there to protect her and the kids? I am one human with zero power, but I hurt for a way to make it all better for all this family. I have empathy for Brit. She fell in love and was desperately lonely at that time. She gave Kevin fame, fortune, luxury, and two beautiful babies. It didn't work out. Well, join the club. Her problems are HERS to deal with. A good shrink, the right medication and a good 12 step program and she may be able to salvage a life out of this.

How in the hell is Britney's behavior not EXTREME?? She did NOT COMPLY with what she was ordered by law to do in order to keep her kids. This woman, as are many of her fans, is in extreme denial. When you want to prove you are a fit mother, you don't go out every nite drinking & dancing, you don't take your kids to Beverly Hills where the massive amounts of paparazzi hanging out which will fighten your kids and make them cry, you don't drive illegally without a valid license etc etc. You sit your ass at home, make meals for your kids, play with them, and STAY THERE being a mom for a while. She doesn't think she needs the help that has been offered her, and now that she's been legally ordered to take. So she just doesn't do any of it. These are not the actions of someone with a grasp on reality and on the gravity of her situation. A judge was given first-person witness evidence under oath which convinced him to state in a legal document that "there is a habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol by (Britney)" and the judge ordered her "to undergo testing for the use of controlled substances and alcohol" twice a week. Which she didn't do. And that's just ONE of her issues. If that doesn't say extreme, I don't know what will.

If there was any chance that they could have shown him as a bad parent, you think they'de forget to or decide not to? When my son was a baby/toddler and even now I have a hard time taking my eyes off him. I stare like a goofy lovestruck teenager. HOWEVER, I am also aware of numerous incidences that SOCIAL SERVICES was noted as NEGLIGENT ....namely the CASE WHERE IT RECIEVED MEDIA WIDE ATTENTION where LARGE NUMBERS OF CHILDREN WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEIR PARENTS - under the guise of superiors with OMNIPOTENT AUTHORITY, but with obvious behaviors.....such as raised voices near and or around children....taken to the extreme.

Textbook psych even tells you that children fare better in their own families than to MAKE HARSH IMMEDIATE JUDGEMENTS AGAINST FAMILIES FOR MINOR INFRACTIONS SUCH AS RAISED VOICES THAT THE CHILD MIGHT OVERHEAR a disagreement. How insane to expect that in the real world they are unlikely to experience an unkind word.

TEACH COPING SKILLS TO WEATHER THE TURMOILS OF CHANGE IS FAR BETTER ROLE IN PARENT AND CHILD MANAGEMENT.

Social Services are like rabid dogs ONLY the cases are such that ALL PARTIES are GUILTY until proven innocent. I have known people that are incompetent, generous to a fault, and of sound disposition that were investigated like criminals due to disgruntled parties who made complaints against them. I felt great sympathy for this mother given she was the one expected to perish all error that her teenage child was exposed to by the periodic visitation from the father from out of a country. Yet the courts enforce that the father be as active a role as possible but it is the mother who is held accountable and expected to hurl herself into the decisions of this governing child body, whether she can afford representation or not. I assure you it is not based soley on poverty that assures representation. Rules change frequently.

Of the cases that I have been exposed to social service agencies will go in based on others claims that can be grossly out of context, and in some instances OUTRIGHT FALSE. As with the cases in QUESNEL B.C. where the children were removed in large hasty numbers, IT WAS SOCIAL SERVICES THAT WAS FOUND NEGLIGENT.........in that the removal of these children was not APPROPRIATE. THIS WAS WHY THE INVESTIGATION ENSUED AND THEY WERE REPRIMANDED.

Social Service Sounds very legitimate but they are not beneath TRYING TO DIG UP DIRT - REAL OR IMAGINED to support the reasons, justifying their querys. If your position in an argument is ....(such), then you will look for any way to back up this position or your ass is on the line.

So, arguments are exploited and altered to suit the supporting opinion by simply indicating.....the child was in the room during the argument. CHILD REMOVAL!

Child does not have a regular bed time - HENCE CHILD NEGLECT! CHILD REMOVAL.

We should all be aware that authorities do not maintain all the facts, but INFERENCE that a potential situation is all that need be indicated and SOCIAL SERVICES WILL FILL IN THE BLANKS. SO BASED ON FRAGMENTED information, they are "assured victory".

I will say this....not everyone agrees with the way departments are run in social services and may simply be pawns in the way enforcement is enacted. But it is noteworthy to consider your own defense meticulously should one fall victim to a manipulation of such a situation.

I realize it is an imperfect system, but be aware that there power is very one sided. This is where laws fail. It has it's place, just don't be so certain that AUTHORITY = ACCURACY AND TRUTH. IT'S ALL ABOUT POWER!!!!!!!!!
