I feel sorry for you and your parents and your future kids. Famous or not, kids may turn out as strung out and crazy as Britney with children they neglect but that is not just being "young". Sure people can go down the wrong path and turn their life around but being "young" isn't an excuse and acting in that way isn't being just young or normal. It is very sad and disturbing. “Gimme More, which is as rife with retarded “adult” sexuality as “I’m A Slave 4 U” was, only presumably without a jackable video to go along with it. When Justin Timberlake sings about being “Lovestoned” or bringing “Sexyback,” you can believe it. He’s still a young man who can, without question, bed any woman he lays eyes on. Britney, on the other hand, is a mother twice over. Contrary to popular belief, mothers are not sexy, although given Britney’s reverence for Madonna, her confusion is understandable.
Full of droning, low electronic bass lines, “Gimme More” is a song you almost want to like and certainly one you’ll be forced to hear for the next three months. It’s Britney’s bid to recall the pop genius of “Toxic” and the sexiness of “I’m A Slave 4 U,” but it falls short. What’s key to Britney’s appeal is the ability of the audience to almost believe the song, which she ruins by breathing “It’s Britney, bitch” before the song starts. Where her other hits have been more undeniable than they’ve been insipid, “Gimme More,” with its chant of “Gimme gimme gimme gimme” in the chorus, leaves the listener wondering if millions of dollars can’t always buy a good song or if it can’t make you know the difference between the good and the bad. Regardless of whether we want Britney to give us more, we’re getting it.

This week, I tackle Britney Spears and her new single, "Gimme more." The song was released on Aug 28th and can be found on your favorite file sharing service. Let me save you some download time.... the song SUCKS!
The song starts with Spears spewing off an explicit, and then quickly turns into a rejected version of some Janet Jackson song from back in the day. The song never picks up and gets good, even the chorus lacks. You would expect a much better comeback song than this... but no such luck.
The song drags on, and about halfway through the song....you feel it already should have ended. It's repetitious and boring, never uplifting. Near the end of the song, a rap of sorts is thrown in. Some male dude praises Britney, calling her the "Legendary" Spears. Not only is it laughable, but someone needs to tell Spears that she is a legend for all the wrong reasons.... and none of them good.
Only a die-hard fanatic of Spears will like her new effort.... that is of course, if there are any Die-hard fans left.
With the opening explicit to start the song, Spears proves she has not grown up. The song runs flat, it's predictable, and comes off as self serving to Spears. Speaking of predictable, the song's ending is just that.... the music just stops abruptly.... Sort of like Spears' career.

Upon finding out of her last minute irresponsible cancellation, club managers placed a call to Kwatinetz, who was apparently busy in a business dinner. Las Vegas has been planning this opening for weeks. There were a lot of big stars there and they were actually getting tired of waiting on Brit. My son was there. Yeah because of course there is only one way to make your mark on the world. By being famous for being slutty. There are plenty of people out there not famous making their mark on the world either through good deeds, raising good kids, or being successful in their own right. I would rather live my "pathetic" life any day. Raising my kids, helping others, building my business, loving my husband,living in our beautiful home while we enjoy friends and family and living our quiet, fulfilling, "pathetic life. There wasn't any reason to believe she was going to perform. She was a "guest host". That's why DJ AM was there! If everyone hates her, then why was everyone angry she wasn't there? It's publicity people! She can go out without her kids, especially when she doesn't have them!! At least she's earning the money when they're with Kevin. Can you imagine how different the results would have been had Britney taken 2 years off after the birth of JJ, bought a place in the mountains, and just nurtured herself and her kids? She could have brought in family, built a dance studio, hired a trainer, taken voice lessons. After a couple of years hiatus, she could have staged a real comeback, more mature, new fresh music.
