Let's get real: Britney Spears' fans may hold a special place in their hearts for the pop princess' ballads, but one look at her songs' chart performances would tend to indicate that it's those huge club cuts which really drives the crowds wild! Luckily, early impressions of the Queen B's forthcoming album indicate that her supporters are in for quite a treat - Entertainment Weekly got to take a few tracks out for a test-listen, and they're reporting that there's not a ballad to be heard!
Of course, given the producers attached to the big project so far, we can't say we're surprised - EW confirms that Britney's album will feature two songs by Swedish producer Bloodshy (one with Avant, with whom he teamed up to produce a little number called "Toxic"), and another one from Danja, the maestro behind "Gimme More"! Add that to the rumored contributions from Timbaland (and all the time she spent in the studio with JR "S.O.S."/"Beautiful Girls" Rotem this spring) and we just can't wait - a lineup like that just can't lose!
Of course, we're confident that a few slower numbers will eventually make their way onto Britney's album - where else is she really going to cut loose with emotion?
