Chevron owner Jatinder Kaur tells PEOPLE: "Yes, Britney stole a blue lighter here last night. The lighter is $1.39. I'm hoping maybe the next time she comes back she will pay for it. She knows she's not getting custody back...I believe that no matter how much X-17, Sam, and Alli try to keep her stoned and deluded 24/7, she is a grown woman and she KNOWS that while she engages in this behavior over and over and OVER again, the hope of regaining 50/50 custody is nothing but a distant, distant dream.

She has proven so thoroughly that she does not WANT the responsibility of parenting, but she also doesn't want to be looked at as the "type" of mother who "gave away" her kids. She probably realizes NOW (much too late) that her plan of being a "bad" enough mother to FORCE custody to be taken away has sorely backfired. Now the world thinks she's a much WORSE mother (which is indeed true) than if she had just said "hey, look...I got in over my head with marriage and one baby right atop of another...I just cannot do this right now. I love my children though, so for their welfare and well-being, I am willfully transferring custody to their father".

No, instead we have to watch these train wreck occurrences, one after another...driving almost twenty times (just what was sold and published; it probably happened MANY more times) with the kids not buckled in the car seats, putting the top down repeatedly in very hot or very cold weather-- leaving the babies (especially super-fair-skinned JJ) to get alternately sunburnt and cold-chapped, when he was scared to death of the paps SHE had called and screaming bloody murder- pulling Sean P by the arm so hard he had to be examined by a doctor when he returned to his father's- the bruising was THAT present, leaving them in dirty diapers for HOURS at a time in their carseats while she went on stupid, unnecessary "errands" like repeated trips to starbucks and the gas station for two dollars at a time in gas- more photo ops!- trendy robertson boutiques, the SEX TOY store, etc...asking a total stranger to "watch them for a sec" while she went in to order fast food...I mean the list of JUST what she's done in the last twenty or so weeks is UNBELIEVABLE! That is why I really question the motives and morals of anyone who says she really WANTS those boys. Her actions aren't those of someone who just isn't educated about parenting...they are the shout-from-the-rooftops scream of "please, please, PLEASE...take them AWAY, I can't HANDLE it-- WHAT do I have to do for you to TAKE them???"

I also believe this is why she has missed a total of ELEVEN drug tests. She knows good and well the commish said "a missed test equals a failed test".
In truth, the ONLY reason her visitation was not completely yanked on the 26th is because even Kevin felt it would be too traumatic for the boys. As the court monitor said in the FIRST report (which was BAD enough, but wait until y'all see the SECOND one...my God above, it will sicken you) "the kids are bonded to Britney...she is not bonded to THEM, but they ARE bonded to HER".
Kevin, Kaplan, and the commish all agreed that as long as Britney was never alone with the kids and did not drive them, the kids could continue their visits while they figure out a schedule to slowly withdraw Britney from the boys' lives after the new year. I know all the parties involved would love nothing more than to see Britney decide to get it together, but for obvious reasons nobody is holding their breath. Kevin has always been vocal about the boys needing their mother...but at this point, really-- what kind of "mother" is she? Her attempts to constantly undermine even the simplest of court orders - such as "do not consume alcohol within twelve hours of being with the boys"...I guess Britney felt if she was sure to get photographed at her "birthday" party (the PRIVATE party which she brought her own cake to and CRASHED, proceeding to cuss like a sailor and drink like a fish in front of dozens of small children in attendance) drinking not one or two or even five but eight amply-sized alcoholic beverages and then FIVE HOURS LATER, as X-17 so pwecious-ly pointed out, "spent her birthday with her boys". Her arrogance at the court knows no bounds and I only WISH that the Commish had the power and legal fortitude to JAIL her nasty behind for CONTEMPT, since the state of California is apparently UNABLE (for reasons known only to God, apparently) to jail her for hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident multiple times, child endangerment, driving without a license, running repeated red lights and stop signs, SPEEDING like Sonic the hedgehog on crack, oh, and let's not forget- STEALING over and over and OVER again.

I don't believe there has EVER been a more obvious and blatant cry for help- not even with Anna Nicole or Kurt Cobain, etc. Britney is doing everything but wearing a freakin' SIGN that says "looney bin/morgue or bust, 2008" but thanks to these GEMS like X-17 and oSAMa Lutfi constantly telling her how wonderful and beautiful and perfect she is, her cries continue to go unheeded. Truth be told, I wish it was "insight" i *didn't* have...because fearing constantly for what she might do to those innocent babies is making me physically ill. This and God knows what else (I have only a tangential connection to these kids; someone who was witness to Britney's day-to-day life with them could probably testify to a thousand different egregious violations of Britney's "parenting") has occurred BEFORE Britney's seeming "break" from reality...so I am just *TERRIFIED* of what she may do given half a chance. If she feels that all hope is lost and thinks the only thing left to do is really try and HURT everyone who loves the boys...oh, Lord...please, please, please keep her from getting a "Susan Smith" mentality.
The way she drives proves an obvious, if subconscious deathwish...I just thank God for the small mercy of her not being allowed to drive with them any longer.

Seriously, at this point the judge needs to step up and keep the kids away from her completely. He should demand that she get psychiatric help. I am so scared for the kids. Even with a monitor there, it only takes a minute for something awful to happen. Britney is a ticking time bomb. You know what, I don't think she stole that lighter to get attention, I think she stole it because she's sick of all the overblown bs out there about every little thing she does. She may have USED to tip off x17 about he whereabouts, but I watched a documentary about paps the other day, and they certainly aren't getting tips anymore. Not saying I love a lot of what she has done this past year, but really, it's like a lot of you just need someone to hate. BRITNEY! Get your visitation days back to back if you can, and then you can spend the other half of the week far far away from Hollywood and all the paps! Take half of each week to go somewhere else that is quiet, private, and safe. Do your dancing thing, do your spiritual thing, have a therapist there you can talk to about all the crazy stuff in your life, inside, and out. Just wondering something, pretty much everyone on here agrees that Britney has problems, ie some form of mental disorder, right? Well, you can view mental disorders like a disease for the most part. You don't choose to have one, it just is, and it sucks. A lot of people on her bash her for the symptoms she is displaying. So, by that logic, does that mean it's okay to bash someone endlessly for being bald because they have cancer? Or to make fun of someone who has epilepsy when they have a seizure? I know she needs to get help, and some of you will say "it's okay to cut her down because she should be getting help and she isn't, so it's her own fault!". I disagree. It's really hard for a normal person to admit to having a problem like this, there is a TERRIBLE stigma in our society regarding mental disorders, we DO tend to blame the victim in these cases. And a normal person could get help privately, Britney doesn't have that option. It's even harder for her to come to terms as a result. She does need to come to terms with this, and she does need to get help, but it kinda sickens me to watch everyone hating her for something that is beyond her control at this moment. She needs to feel it is okay to have this problem, and okay to get help for it. If she were to ever read most of what is posted on here, I guarantee she'd be more afraid to get help than she would have been beforehand. She knows she'd get ripped to shreds for it.
