There are also rooms used to run Psychosocial Rehabilitation groups so they can work on coping skills, symptom management, independent living, and substance abuse issues. Patients are usually encouraged to wear their own clothing and will definitely see their psychiatrist every day. They are free to walk around the ward usually. If somebody acts up they get taken down very quickly and are usually given a shot of something to calm them down. And no I haven't ever stayed in a psych ward. I run the rehab groups.

Well, she's gotten worse since last year and yeah - I could see her in a padded room now.

I also think this refusal to go to sleep was out of fear that they'd take her away while she was sleeping. It was Britney's way of trying to control the situation. She either doesn't understand what she's been doing, or she doesn't care. Either way, it's definitely been waaay outside the parameters of society norm.
