I think this shows just how down to earth Britney really is and that she cares about her children. She could have just as easily left Jayden in a wet diaper or with somethig else on him until they reached their destination. But she decided to be a good mum and see to him straight away no matter that she was driving so that he would be comfortable for the rest of the ride.
