She had a chance to work with the police, who would have escorted her into the courthouse. But she's been totally uncooperative with them in the past, so they refused to help her this time. Sure, it was a mob scene, but no more so than it is when she gets out at Starbux, and pushes her way through to get a cup of frap. IF she had contacted the police to arrange for escorts, she would have gotten them. I think it's crazy that she expects LAPD and SD to just stand around and wait for her to show up, whenever that may be, when they've got far more pressing stuff to deal with.

Once again, this crisis was of Britney's own making. She never intended to go into that courtroom today. She did just enough so that she could say, "Well, I tried."

All of us who are parents will tell you that there is nothing that would keep us away from our kids, especially when one court appearance could result in being reunited with them.

I am very very glad her boys are safe - that is the most important thing to me.
