Court to Discuss PERMANENT CONSERVATORSHIP???

Well, it's obvious she can't manage her life. If she continued to mangage her own finances people would have continued to take advantage of her until all of her money was depleted. Unfortunately, we don't really know what is as the root of all her problems. It's either drugs, booze, imaturity or physcological or both. If she has severe phyco problems that cannot be permanently resolved than she should have a permanent conservator to manage her affairs properly because she would just blow it all.

I've been wondering what would happen to the girl when the conservatorship is over. This seems like a temporary fix and what a shame for her to slip back to the wreck that she was.

So what she looks like hell. She's seeing her little ones on a regular basis and maybe more meds and therapy will turn things around for her.

permanent should not be implemented , however, kaplan , adnan, lufti , sands should be investigated for defaming britney, illegally selling photos of her, and charging unnecessary fees.

Everyday there is another court drama with this girl.It will take years before she can get on with her life in peace. My heart break for those little boys who is growing up in this mess and with out a loving family.

Kevin will have permanant custody of his kids if the mom is completely crazy. How sad though she won't enjoy those boys and they will never have a sane mom. If her mental condition is indeed a permanent one, then her parent or parents SHOULD be kept permanently as conservators! That shouldn't even be questioned.

That's beyond what courts should be involved with -- sooner or later the courts will realize this.

Agree with u 100% . This is what happen when u do not install morals in ur kids u want to be their friends instead of parents. It too late to try to parent her when u fail to do that when she was a child. Her condition was NEVER temporary. You aren't bipolar for a few months. But you CAN live a normal life if you do what you're told to do and take your meds everyday without fail. If she has MPD, that also is permanent but can be controlled (not easy to do though). We have no idea what is wrong with her so we can't speculate but I know Jamie wants to go back to his life so he sure isn't pushing for this. Whatever. It's all really sad in a lot of ways.

I happen to have worked with many mentally ill people in my line of work. Properly treated, not only are they perfectly able to work, it is BENEFICIAL for them to work.

But I do feel compassion even for the reckless at heart - those who make decisions with consequences they can’t erase. It’s just my nature. justme - I have never been treated for Bipolar Disorder myself, but I have worked with many people who have been.

The only time that I have heard ANY of these people describe themselves in the manner which you described above is when they were not on the proper medications. Each and every person that I have dealt with - when on proper medications (and taking them properly) - was able to function normally, feel good and healthy, hold down a job - and most importantly - MAINTAIN CUSTODY OF THEIR CHILDREN! They felt happiness, sadness, and every emotion that a "normal" person would feel. By normal, I mean a person with no "diagnosis".

If someone is having "no feelings" at all, I'd suggest that they are NOT on the proper medications and need to be checked out. That is NOT normal.

Bipolar means manic/depressive disorder. When did she act depressed and withdrawn? Manic/depressive means they alternate between being very energetic and hyper to the opposite: depressed, withdrawn, etc. She never exhibited those symptoms. I think it's all a bunch of BS.

Maybe she had a nervous breakdown. I mean everyday normal people have them. If I were her I would have had one a long time ago.

It looks to me like she has some form of schizophrenia. No bi-polar.

If not, she should move to a different, more peaceful location. Maybe moving back to Louisiana to the calm countryside might help, althought I doubt if she'd do that. Kudos to the writers, producers, directors, etc of How I Met Your Mother. They figured out a way to raise ratings on a failing show. They are not concerned with Britney Spears as a human being. They were smart enough to realize that a person who has caused this much controversy would certainly draw large numbers of viewers, thus raising their ratings. I wouldn't doubt that her family sees this as an opportunity to revive her failing career and "prove" to the public that she is doing better. They probably also think steady work to concentrate on will keep her busy and her mind occupied. Little do they realize that most people will watch the show to see if she fails miserably, not as an attempt to support her. If her family is interested in some form of work that will keep her occupied, let her continue to dance and sing. This is what she has done all her life, what she is "best" at. Acting is not the thing for her. Allowing her to undertake a new endeavor at this point is a big mistake.

I think Britney is looking better than she has in a long time and the fact that she is getting supervised visits with her boys is wonderful! Her Dad may have done wrong by her in the past, but he is sure making up for it now. He is really taking good care of her and making sure she does all she should for her condition. I hope he retains conservatorship if a permanent one is needed. He has certainly proven himself. There are some real misinterpretations of BIPOLAR DISORDER on this blog. For the person who said that their DAD had BIPOLAR DISORDER for a short period of time and then he got cured, if he in fact is BIPOLAR he was only put on MED'S that stabilized his condition and he still has it and will have it for the rest of his life. BIPOLAR is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It is not a death sentence and it is very possible to become STABLE and go back to work and live a healthy lifestyle given treatment and the right med-ication which in BIPOLAR's can be different for the individual's TYPE OF BIPOLAR. There are 2 types and also there is UNIPOLAR. There are various MED's that are used to treat the differnt types of BIPOLAR DISORDER and whether or not she is a drug/addict or alcoholic or anything else she could still be BIPOLAR. BIPOLARS almost always try SELF MEDICATING with ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS. That is typical BIPOLAR behavior. There is no known cure for BIPOLAR DISORDER. TREATMENT PLAN that works and a person can function and live out a healthy, happy life but it requires dilligence in the way the individual lives their life and handles their affairs. In BRITNEY'S case for now she needs a lot of people to help her. To the person who said BIPOLAR meds make you feel nothing that is not always the case. It depends on the drug given. Some BIPOLARS take only MOOD STABILIXZERS and ANTI ANXIETY MEDS while others require ANTI-DEPRESSANTS and ANTI-PSYCHOTIC MEDS. It depends on the type of BIPOLAR DISORDER one has. There is RAPID CYCLING and HYPOMANIA and MANIA and a lot of in between. The RAPID CYCLERS can be MANIC then DE-PRESSED then MANIC...whicle the HYPOMANIC are usually very productive people who are overachievers and when they crash they crash hard. BIPOLAR can MIMIC METH OR COCAINE USE. It is a very complex disorder and if she does in fact have it and by all accounts she does she will need life time care and she will need to have a coservator for the rest of her life. This is because if she goes off the meds she could end up doing a host of irrational, bizarre behaviors. I know all of this because I live it and at my age I have been through much distress. I did not choose to have to live this way and I certainly did not choose to have to spend the rest of my life seeing doctors, and taking daily doses of mood stabilizers and anti-anxiety meds but I am grateful I was diagnosed and stabil-ized and today I am a PRODUCTIVE MEMBER of society. And whoever said that BIPOLARS are dumb hicks, wrong again; MY IQ is 165, I work and do quite well for myself. But I take care of my health and I follow the treatment plan outlined by my doctor and I see a therapist regularly also. Most BIPOLARS are quite intelligent people. So before you judge find out about BIPOALRS. There are many famous people that are afflicted and it is not pleasant to live with but it is not that difficult to live with the disease and go forward in life. One must live a structured lifestyle to avoid complications.

My God, of course those kids are having a hard time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Some of us know for sure about things in their past. Other people just conveniently choose not to believe it.

Chairlady - I think "if" is really a long shot. They were definitely subjected to abnormal behavior and situations and I am sure these have left some type of impression on them. Now that they have been exposed to stability and security, they are aware of the differences between their time with mom and time with dad. I am sure it is very difficult for them to be re-exposed to Britney after having settled into a routine with Kevin. It also must be odd to be surrounded by so many people. Children are very trusting by nature, but as with any human being, once trust is broken it takes a while to rebuild. Even though we might disagree slightly, I am with you 110 percent. The kids are the most important people here!

Jayden was held hostage in a bedroom by his mother for 3 hours. When they broke that door down (imagine the noise), she fled to the bathroom and held him in the tub while he was screaming. The helicopters circling overhead were used because they were afraid she was going to try to flee with him. The noise from the helicopters and the sirens are enough to traumatize these kids alone. I know for a fact, it did. Anyone who thinks this didn't affect those little kids is stupid. Kids don't forget anything, even at that young age. This is just a part of the things we do know. There is much more. Imagine being take to the person who put you through that nightmare? Anyone ever heard of PTSD? It's not just for vets. It can happen to anyone. Not to mention, repressed memories. I can't even imagine the trauma these poor kids have suffered and the problems they will deal with later in life.

If you've read ANY of my posts - you'll know that I'm *ALL* for those boys.

That said, Britney's dad is not able to work right now. Taking care of Britney and getting her "stabilized" is a full time job - at least for the moment. He's had to hire security, get her medical care squared away, take care of all the legal issues, get her finances squared away, etc.

So, while he is taking care of his ADULT daughter's life, he is not able to work. In a perfect world, his own bills would pay themself. Since that won't happen, the LAW is there which is what the JUDGE followed when he awarded Jamie that money. He still has to PAY HIS BILLS while caring for Britney. Sad, but true. He isn't "robbing his daughter".

I was waiting for someone to bring that up. It's really quite ridiculous to say this.

Britney is being given $1500 dollars per week to "play" with. That equals $6495 per month. She does not need to use this money to pay bills, or to do anything other than "play".

Jamie on the other hand is not able to work. His job right now is BRITNEY. The money he is receiving he needs to use to support himself. He has bills to pay. Although he is basically "living with" Britney at the moment, he still has his own place to pay for and bills of his own to pay. He isn't using this money to run around and "play with" the way Britney is doing.

So let's do some quick calculations. Britney is given $6495 per month. Multiply that times 12 months in a year. She is being given $77,940 a year right now - just to "play" with. All her "needs" are met. And don't think for a MINUTE if she wants to make a BIG purchase she won't be able. This money is just money to keep her busy and "happy".

Stop trying to make Jamie look bad. He's trying to do right by his daughter.
