The hearing is over and the Commissioner in Brit's conservatorship has extended Jamie Spears turn as conservator until the next hearing on March 10.

Commish Reva Goetz's current orders are still in effect-- Brit's conservators still have the power to deal her financial issues.

The Commissioner has also ordered that Britney undergo what's called a 730 evaluation-- the results of which need to be turned in to her by the next hearing.

As for Sam Lutfi, we're told he's hiding out and still hasn't been served with the restraining order. One lawyer even said "I believe he is intentionally avoiding service." Ya think? The next hearing on the restraining order was previously set for Feb. 22 -- and he must be served at least 48 hours before then. Perhaps they should hang at Area.

In California a restraining order is effective when the court issues it. Lufti might have an affirmative defense (which he would have the legal burden to raise and prove as a defense to a hearing on a violation). However, to be successful on that defense he would have to deny that he had actual knowledge of it regardless of whether or not he had been served.
Restraining order issued to police = effective
Violation and then hearing.
Lufti raises affirmative defense = didn't know about it because I wasn't served.
Rebuttal -- he knew about it because of the news and internet. If he knew, he is still bound. If Britney told him about it and told her lawyer -- it is confidential. Hence, they attorney can't answer the questions because of his attorney client privilege with Britney. IMHO therefore, Britney told Sam about the restraining order and then told her lawyer she told him.

2:19 - you're right - the fact that the "whole world" knows about the restraining order nullifys any argument that Sam could have of "not being officially served" - if they can prove that he "knew" or even just "heard" from anywhere about the order - it's considered served. There is no way he'll be able to deny knowing about it - he's given interview to different "news" magazines, etc. and they have posted information about the order - nice try Lufti, but it won't work. And way to go on the TMZ post - X17 doesn't have a clue!

I think Sam denied being served in an interview with OK Magazine not too long ago. He's definitely aware of it. Scum.
