Courtroom Update: Is Kaplan's Fee Fair?

Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is currently making a case in court for his whopping half-a-million dollar fee to be paid in full.

He had asked that the Commisioner to close today's session to discuss the bill (what's he got to hide?), but the Commisioner wasn't buying it and the court stayed open.

Kaplan argued it was actually 8 emergency hearings called by Britney Spears that he had to attend which boosted his fees, NOT his multiple tv appearances (which he says he didn't bill for).

Kaplan also had to spend extra court time and billing time dealing with her drug testing issues, her 5150 issues and her temporary restraining orders, so he's arguing that his full fee should be paid by Brit.

Sounds valid to me, too. She pushed these issues - did she think she wouldn't have to pay for services rendered?

Just a guess, but one wonders exactly how much she has left. Bet it's a lot less than what has been reported. If that's the case, and if I was owed money by her, I'd be doing everything to collect before there's nothing left in her bank account!

Stop making stupid comments about the legal bills!!! Of course, the bills are high because Britney refused to comply with the court orders and not showing up, thereby dragging this out. Plus these stupid emergency sessions she called because she wanted the kids back (and then she wouldnt even shows up), and yet she wouldnt even comply with the rules set.

The legal bills are definitely higher than they needed to be because of Britney!!!
