TMZ has learned Sam Lutfi is under investigation by the LAPD for allegedly drugging Britney Spears.

Law enforcement sources tell us the Major Crimes Division of LAPD is on the case, after the conservators filed a complaint alleging Lutfi drugged Spears as a way of keeping her under his control. We're told the investigation is very much active.

Lutfi could not be reached for comment, however, Michael Sands, Lutfi's spokesperson, tells TMZ he is aware of the investigation.

What I do alone at night with my husband is of no concern to our kids. They are happy, healthy and well adjusted I assure you. My oldest received highest recommendations for his college and all of my kids have been voted most likely to succeed in their yearbooks.
