I forgot to mention that there is one thing wrong with what Dr. Phil said. He told Britney "You've got two kids..."

But the fact is, the kids are gone for good. There is a mountain of evidence that supports K-FED's accusation that she is crazy and dangerous. 100 mph car chases, illegal u-turns, running red lights, locking herself and child in the bathroom for three hours. Also, remember the reports of the monitor -- Britney doesn't even know the kids are around. The judge can't dismiss this stuff. She's clearly dangerous to herself and the kids. She won't get the kids back now unless she gets major mental help (not just overnight and leaving when she feels like it) but a comprehensive program that will get her better. And her condition will have to be carefully monitored with a panel of experts making the decision that she is "normal" again. I just don't ever see that happening. It's too late.

So, the bottom line is that Dr. Phil revealed himself. He was willing to exploit a troubled woman with a PUBLIC intervention (this woman needs no more attention) for the sake of his own ego and his ratings. I used to TIVO his show and watch them all. Now, forget it; it's all about him. Fact is, Britney's parents have NO RIGHTS OVER HER ANYMORE! She's 26 for God sake. How many of you let you mommy and daddy intervene in your life when you were 26? Dr.Phil is only retreating because a lot of REAL psychiatrists have come out stating that what he is doing, and has done is outrageous, and unethical, and dangerous! And that his actions, of asking Britney to appear on his show, may have actually made things worst for Britney, in the fragile mental state she was in. Instead of offering to find Britney a great PRIVATE psychiatrist, which she probably would have accepted, and been grateful for, Dr.Phil decided to exploit the situation by trying to get her, and her family on national t.v. Psychiatric therapy, as opposed to pharmacological therapy, will not control the disease and treat the symptoms. That is why Dr. Phil is backing off.

Britney Spears does not need a mental health professional as much as she needs a medical professional. Britney Spears does not need a shrink to treat and control the behavioral and emotional symptoms of bipolar illness as much as she needs medical pharmaceuticals to treat and control the symptoms.

If you read into his biography you'll see that he has been in some big big trouble in Texas for unethical practices. The Texas Board of Psychologists pretty much smacked him down! It is of no surprise that Oprah has endorsed this fool. Remember "Dr" John Gray, the "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" guy? Do some background checking on him. He isn't a real doctor either.
