arizona, I remember seeing a program on her a number of years ago (it aired on MuchMusic in Canada...I'm not sure what broadcaster it was commissioned by in the States)...but it had interviews with her high school teachers and folks working with her on the Mickey Mouse Club...and they all said the same thing...Basically, "This girl's TOO nice - the music industry is going to eat her alive." It makes me think it's part of the reason she's fallen so far, while others like Christina are maintaining their grip on reality. Brit's a REALLY sensitive gal...and it's that sensitivity that makes her prone to mental illness...

As for the shrinks...hopefully they're doing some behavioural therapy with her...not so much to "de-program" her on the paps specifically, but to help her find some self-esteem so that she knows enough not to associate with ANYBODY who is using her (whether it's paps, Osama, Kevin, her parents, business associates or any future boyfriends).

I have a feeling that in the past, alot of business decisions were made on her behalf without her actually understanding what was going on...maybe her family are making more of an effort this time around to help her understand the system...

I don't know...I don't think we'll ever get an "offical" word on it unless, a) It's true, her meds start working and she eventually becomes an advocate for those suffering with Bi-Polar Disorder, or b) It's not true, she actually has other problems (e.g. brain damage from prescription drug abuse, or a personality disorder that nobody wants to talk about), in which case she'll blame it all on Sam Lutfi's drug cocktails...

In the case of a), I doubt we'll hear about it until there's something big to promote (e.g. when Jive is ready to re-release Blackout), in which case she'll do some big interview on Dianne Sawyer...

At least that's the way the PR Machine seems to work... :)

P.S...

I hope they DO re-release Blackout at the start of summer (with a few new re-mixes). Make fun of me all you want, but I think it's a great album...
