Britney didn't get to her current situation overnight, and she's not going to get back overnight either.

She not only has a LOT of physical, mental, emotional and psychological recovery work ahead of her, but she's got to develop a whole new network of people to be around - mentally healthy people who have their own lives and their own careers.

I've watched a loved one go through something similar and it truly took years for her to recover her self-confidence and self-esteem and get to the point where she could captain her own ship.

I'm quite sure it's going to be baby steps for quite awhile for Britney, and with some inevitable falls along the way, but whatever progress she makes should be lauded because it's really, really hard (and even more so in the harsh glare of the spotlight), and takes enormous courage and determination.

Please support her efforts and try not to derail them!

Also, someone has to investigate her finances and businesses to see what damage has been done by people who were not acting in her best interests, while she was clearly not in command of her senses. That is happening right now. I think there will be some interesting facts uncovered after the court is through investigating, and, yes, the court is investigating, through the court-appointed conservator and attorney.

All this is done to ensure that Britney retains what belongs to her, not to take anything away from her.

I hope people think twice before they spend any more money on any Britney products.

Britney Spears has gone through life with nothing but GOOD FORTUNE. She was born with beautiful looks, has had good health all of her life, has family in good health, wasn't abandoned or abused, was talented, had incredibly good breaks in her career, has tons of money, etc.

Her trainwreck of a life is totally of her own making. Furthermore, she wakes up every day with the means and ability to set herself on a course to togetherness. The fact that she chooses not to is sad, but to a lot of us... amusing.

She is still looking frail minded and "out there" to me. I know that she is going to have to recover for a while but it just sux that people are really only interested in the bad stuff. As soon as she has the "RIGHT" people around her people are WAY LESS interested in her well being. I think that she finally had to get her shit together because her situation had become critical with her being hospitalized at the psych ward again. The best part to me is that she can no longer go thru assistants and body gaurds like dirty underwear, she has to deal with who she is being watched by and assisted with. He parents are the only ones who can make those decisions now. She had gotten so flippant about who worked for her and she was so unstable that no one was with her for long. Again...... EXCEPT for SAM! He managed to stay put, when everyone else was biting the dust daily, even her Lawyers were getting replaced left and right, but somehow little ol SAM managed to stay put. VERY SUSPICIOUS and bizzare to say the least. That is how we know that he was controlling her, cuz he was black mailing her with what he knew about her private bussiness and she couldn't get rid of him even if she wanted to. He knew too much about her, at least this way, she was able to be rid of him and she didn't have to be the one to do it. He really never was able to use anything against her even though I am sure that he made her feel like he could. If she was doing anything that she shouldn't I am sure that it was him that was helping her to do it, and all of that would of came out and still might, if there was or is questionable actions on his part. He is being investigated by the cops so only time will tell. I don't think that he is going to want that heat on him so he will prob. keep his mouth shut about anything that she WAS doing that was illegal or bad, i.e. drugs, sexual exploits etc.. I am sure that he made her think that he had her backed into a corner and that he could rat her off at anytime and that she would NEVER EVER get her kids back because of that, that is why she does seem relieved that he is gone. I am sure that she is happy to be away from him. She is actually doing what her parents want her to and doensn't seem to be upset about it.

The reason they had to take over her life was to undo some of her, well more Sam's poor decisions. They havent taken over her life, she is just not able to control her life as she should at the moment. I dont have any clue as to what meds she is on, I do recall seeing a list of things posted on the net that Sam was feeding her.....once again Sam was involved there so go knows what she was taking and her family believe he was in fact drugging her. They actually spoke of PPD when she went into rehab last year....they said it then. Since then there has been no mention. PPD can be a trigger for other mental condiditions to rear their ugly heads....if your pre disposed to certain mental illness's that are in your family, sometimes you can go down that road too. Drugs the illegal kind do not help certain mental illness's as well.

Yea,the parents could not "find" Britney. Did they try Starbucks, Rite Aid and local gas stations. Stop freaking making excuses. Granted we don't know the parents did not try to step in sooner, but they had the same tools available to them in January, December and November that they did in February when they had her committed. The parents, lack of positive feedback, NO guidance, I seriously doubt any of them ever heard the word 'no' or you can't do that, have that. They were given no responsibility. By responsibility, I mean the simple expectations placed on a child, such as chores, curfews, all the small thing we were all expected to do as children. I agree with you somewhat but, think about this, what is the difference if you are being judged by your own peers and your own "local"society, towns people, parents of the children your child goes to school with etc. she is just in a larger fish bowl.

Self respect, self worthiness and dignity may be very hard things for Britney to ever attain and I don't think it has much to do with the pressure and criticism. Plenty of other actors/actresses maintain theirs. Britney's problem is that she has put herself on public display, and plenty of it before Sam, and it may be very difficult to recover from that. Granted, each of us has had our embarassing episodes but for most of us they were not in the public eye, but amongst family and/or friends. And before some go haywire and blame the photogs, remember that she was the one who CHOSE to be out in public and do nasty things like flash her crotch repeatedly. Repeatedly engaging in self-destructive behavior has to take it's toll after awhile. Most of us learn from inappropriate behavior and embarassing moments, not repeat them over and over for the world to see. Obviously, Britney chose to repeat hers and I think this may be something she has a hard time overcoming.

I find it odd to that she still remains in LA. Why would she want to? Ok even if she odes have a mental illness she must know that staying there is making things so much more worse for her. She should just leave and go somewhere nice and quiet. There are plenty of other options from grandparents right down to foster care, if the courts deemed Kevin an unfit parent. At this point like it or not, Kevin has been deemed to be the better parent and the kids are fortunate to have that option.

Britney could care less about those kids. They aren't even a thought. All she is thinking about is marrying Adnan and starting over with a couple of new kids. She is 14 years old and living in Lala Land.

Easy, that happens frequently when one party has substantially more funds than the other and most importantly, a very large portion of that bill can be attributed to preparation for hearings, attendance at hearings, investigations, missed depositions, etc,; all events triggered by Britney herself. She and her legal team did ask for many hearings which in fact she failed to show up for and the court does not appreciate having their time wasted. They will side with Kaplan on this one. Britney wasted his time too. Why does the bill seem so unbelievably high - laywers bill for the smallest of things, right down to making a phone call. Some even bill for making a phone call that was not answered. Just another example of Britney causing some of her own problems.

KFed is not the hero in this..he should not be applauded for stepping up and taking his kids..thats what any father should do. True to form someone has to blame someone else for her missing court appearances. Did Sam double her dose right before court? Did he tell her men in white coats would be waiting at the courthouse? Seems to me that excuse is gettin pretty thin. She was able to show up at Starbucks, Rite Aid, gas stations, etc. with and without Sam, but yet can't manage to get through the courthouse doors. And, wasn't it Sam who said let's go in when she was on the curb (her second attempt at entering the courthouse) and Adnan who told her it was okay to get back in the car, drive around and think about it. I am not a Sam fan, but unless he planned out his statements prior to getting to the courthouse it looks like this one might be a wash.
