I think that selling her story was the right thing to do for a couple of reasons. First, might as well make some money off of the story because it was gonna leak eventually anyway (it had already leaked, but wasn't confirmed. Second, seeing that it happened to Jamie Lyn might keep some other young girls who are having sex (and there are lots) from making the same mistake by either using protection, abstaining, and/or by realizing the possible consequences of their actions and the responsibility something like this entails...if it can happen to Jamie Lyn, it can happen to any one of them!

Jamie Lynn never had the star power Britney had; she rode to fame on Britney's coattails. She's not as pretty as Britney, she's not quite as talented as Britney, and I don't think she is as driven to succeed in show business. Hopefully she realizes the impact being a mother and having a child will have on her life--it will limit her freedom quite a bit. Luckily she has her mother to help her, but hopefully she won't take advantage of Lynn's help and be responsible for her child herself. It's not going to be easy for her because she is only 16, but motherhood may (should) mature her and she will still be young enough to accomplish whatever she wants when the child is old enough and more dependent.
