TMZ has learned the general nature of the medical intervention for Britney Spears.

As we first reported, Britney is suffering from some sort of bipolar disorder. For months, Commissioner Scott Gordon has repeatedly ordered her to undergo psychological tests, but she has not complied.

Brit's family and lawyers have devised a "creative" plan to get Brit into treatment. Sources now say it's outpatient treatment that would allow professionals to "evaluate and treat" her condition.

We're told Britney is "receptive" to the idea, but it's not a done deal. If it happens, the process will start imminently.

A detailed story in this week's us Weekly magazine won't help that much as the magazine is reporting that on January 7 a source tells the "Hot Stuff" section of the magazine that the "scantily clad" pop star showed up at a Beverly Hills elementary school, saying she was there to pick up someone else’s kids.
According to the report the singer parked her car outside the school just before 3 p.m. and spent 10 minutes smoking cigarettes and talking to herself while she waited for classes to let out. “She was just rambling and confused,” says the witness, who approached Spears to ask if she was OK. “She said, ‘I’m here to pick up my kids.’
Next the report notes that Britney then changed her story and said, ‘They aren’t my kids; I have a new attorney, and I came to pick them up for her.’ ” Adds the witness, “All I could think was, Who in their right mind would let her pick up their kids?”
As children began to leave for the day, the star, 26, caused a commotion — “It became the talk of the school. Some of the kids were freaked out,” says a school source. She was then directed to a more secure entrance around back.
But before getting into her car and driving off (without any children), she chatted up the female witness: “She said, ‘You’re so nice. You should give me your number. I don’t have very many friends.’ ” That much is certainly true.

I'll translate from lawyer speak to plain English. Mr. Kaplan was telling X17 that their question assumed that Britney would have physical contact with the kids in a setting where she could have Adnan around them. In other words, it isn't a given fact that Britney will have that kind of contact with the kids where she can choose who will be around them -- Adnan or anyone else.

The fact is not in evidence yet because it hasn't been proven that Britney will have physical access to her children any time soon. (At least not soon enough so that Adnan will still be in the picture.)

VERY BASIC TRANSLATION: Mr. Kaplan thinks the way things are going Kevin doesn't need to have feelings (comfortable or not comfortable) about Britney having the kids in a setting where she gets to say who else comes near them.
