Kevin Still Wants Sole Custody!
Britney Spears may have earned the right to more time with her kids from the courts earlier this week - but if her ex-hubby Kevin Federline has her way, she won't be getting any more!

"Kevin has had sole legal custody since January," his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! Online. "He wants that to become the permanent order at trial, and the visitation to be consistent with what the court expanded it to this week."
Kevin's reasoning, Kaplan explains, is a simple desire for stability - for the childrens' sake, of course. "There's nothing magical about 50-50," he told E!. "There's nothing magical about 60-40. What's magical is that whatever order is in place, it's the order that best suits the best interest of the children."
And according to Kaplan, that stability comes directly from the court-imposed conservatorship, which he credits as bringing "structure and stability" to a volatile situation. "'[I]n flux' is not a description of what you want for a child's environment," he said.
Kevin Wants Britney To Be "Involved"
Of course, it's not all acrimony between Spears and Federline - Kaplan claims his client desperately wants Britney to be "involved in [Jayden and Sean's] lives in a very substantial and meaningful way."
"He wants to have an order," Kaplan said, "that takes into account a certain stability and structure for the kids...regardless of whose house they happen to be at at any given moment."
Mediation Was "Comfortable" And "Positive"
Spears and Federline met yesterday afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton to discuss issues pertaining to custody. Unfortunately, the meeting failed to yield results - by Kaplan's own admission, the mediation "didn't result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August."
Still, it sounds like a positive first step - Kaplan himself characterized the meeting as constructive!
"The mood was comfortable, positive, and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary," Kaplan admitted.
Well, that's good to hear - we sure hope these two can move forward and find a solution which works for them both!
