If she does need the help, then so be it. But why oh why, the excessive expense to the LA taxpayers? If her psychiatrist confirmed the need for a 5150, then it sounds to me like there was no need for the police. Couldn't they have just put her in a car and driven her to the hospital. If, and only if, she refused to cooperate, then they could have called in the police. I realize her family wanted to avoid a scene like the last time, but this really went over the top.
