The fact that a conservatorship was even given says a lot about her mental state. Now she's even been placed on a 5250 hold.

I think Britney should think long and hard about getting rid of her dad as her conservatorship. I don't think Jamie would hurt Britney. Frankly, I'm not sure that the patient who has been deemed not able to take care of herself at all should have much say in who takes care of her finances while she is incapacitated. I believe that is the meaning of incapacitated: not able to take care of yourself. This would include making decisions for yourself. That is why we have courts, doctors, and advisors - to help patients through these troubled times until they are able to get back on their feet, and in their right minds.

Her father is not going to ruin her financially in two weeks, especially with watchful eyes of the court and a co-conservator always on him. However, Sam and Adnan have probably done quite a lot of damage to her financially, emotionally, professionally, and medically. These "boys" are not qualified to take care of a dog, probably.

Trope has managed to help her lose custody of her children while they have been working on her behalf. She went with them with 50% custody and ended up with none. I never heard of them putting up any fight for her, just kowtowed to Kaplan every time. I think they are afraid of Kaplan.

In conservatorship the family (esp. the parents) are always favored because they tend to have the child's interest in mind (they brought her up). A court appointed conservatorship is not as good. They don't have the time to devote as much as a parent or sibling etc. When Britney becomes better we will indeed learn the truth about what she really wants. Right now from what I can see she had NOT gotten better with the people who claimed to be taking care of there--who cut her off from friends, family, and former music producers--her old world. It wouldn't surprise me if brainwashing was used on her. How else do you explain why the girl didn't get sleep for FIVE days. That is enough to make anyone very very sick.
