In this week's edition of InTouch we're introduced to a new book by Ian Halperin called Stalking Britney: Britney Under Siege which is coming out around Christmas. In the book the author talks about Britney's mental issues, suicide attempts and more.

Halperin claims that in January 2007, after months of binge drinking and drug abuse, Britney took a large quantity of pills and washed them down with champagne. He also says that after that first suicide attempt, she tried three more times: once in the Promises rehab facility where she tried to hang herself with a bedsheet, and another time when she considered driving off a cliff in the middle of the night. I know what you're thinking - that's only two additional suicide attempts. Well Halperin intentionally didn't tell the mag about the third incident because you'll have to buy the book to find out (or wait til someone gets and advance copy and squeals online).

In the book he also says that she was suspected of being bipolar when she was 9, but that her parents ignored it. Britney also reportedly started doing coke at age 16, and after her divorce had a $30,000 per week drug habit.

As if that wasn't already bad enough, the book alleges that Brit wanted to hire a hit man to get rid of Kevin when he wouldn't stop taking her to court.

The title of Brit & Kev's old reality show is certainly fitting for her life: Chaotic.

She is a nontalented singer. She has had problems for a long long time and it seems like her family should have had her under the care of a doctor when she was a teen. You are right about our forces. I work with someone whose husband has done two tours of Iraq and two tours of Afghanistan. Neither of them are voting this time around. They feel as if a vote for either one will be a supremely bad decision. Lots of folks are saying that. McCain seems like the only halfway decent choice, but that isn't saying much.

Off subject, but it's too bad voting here doesn't have any real influence on the presidential election. We can thank a completely corrupt system and the joke/scam known as the Electoral College for that. There are other places where voting makes a difference, but this isn't one of them.
