I'm one of those many people who have decided to show some support to Britney Spears the human being. That decision was made after seeing how nasty and hateful and downright evil some of you are. Since none of you have lived her life since childhood, none of you have any idea what it is like to be someone like her. I agree she has made some bad choices, and the worst one was Kevin Federline. I actually understand why she did this, and it's one of those "rites of passage," "trying to self-actualize" moments in someone's life, but that doesn't ameliorate the decision.

Now she's paying and learning and I'm willing to let her do that without heaping nastiness upon her.

None of us know what emotional pain she is trying to avoid. Shopping itself is known to be one of those things that people do to take away emotional pain.

I don't give a damn about Federline's emotional health because I think he's probably very healthy, just self-absorbed. I'd like to see Britney, though, get into some long term counseling to help her deal with her family situation, her divorced parents, her absent father, her own fame and resulting life situation. In the midst of another trying week in Britney Spears' personal life, she receives some positive professional news as "Gimme More" opens at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs with 179,000 downloads and soars 68-3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both charts will be posted tomorrow (Oct. 4) on Billboard . com.

"More" is her fifth Hot 100 top 10 and her best showing on the list since her smash debut "...Baby One More Time" hit No. 1 for two weeks in January 1999. Her last top 10 was "Toxic," which peaked at No. 9 in March 2004.

Rather difficult to figure out that she is capable of professional work which yields such fantastic results yet a judge deems her incapable of handling her life. The judge needs to examine the situation further.

Usually when a person is not able to handle their own life, they cannot handle their professional life, either.
