Well, if you listen to any of the songs off of Blackout and then compare them to Brit's performances as a kid (or even her live performances around the age of 16-18) her voice seems to have changed quite a bit. And that's not so much a criticism of HER, it's just the way things go. If you listen to Avril Lavigne's first album and then listen to her newer stuff, you can hear where her voice has changed, too.

It sounds to me that Brit still has a good voice...for pop records. But there's a lot of vocal enhancements being used on her records to make them sound "cute" like her first albums.

I'm guessing that as she got older, her voice got deeper and it just doesn't sound that great for the kind of music she's putting out.

And what I'm trying to say is that a deeper, huskier, passionate voice would sound GREAT on a country artist. Brit would make a great cross-over artist like Shania Twain. And when this whole mess she's made with her life has been ironed out, she'll have "street cred" to boot (for a country singer, that is).

I wasn't a fan of Feedback the first time around, but now I'm in love with it. I saw Ms. Jackson in concert a couple of years back and she was AMAZING, so I always want to give her the benefit of the doubt.

As for Brit being a country singer...no, she couldn't handle it now...but she's an amazing entertainer (I didn't say singer, I said "entertainer"!!) and with some vocal lessons, and a new manager and stylist, she probably could give Shania a run for her money.

It's amazing how professional dancers can teach you how to move and dance. All you have to do is follow them. Anyone can dance and work a stage if they practice hard enough. Then comes the voice, but she has a whispery one with a lot of dance music in the background. She also has a lot of dancers with her on stage. It's just a made up show.
