UPDATE- Attorney Claims Brit Tried to Get License
Opening statements have begun in Britney's driving without a license trial in Van Nuys.
Her attorney, J. Michael Flanagan, came out firing, saying that Britney had actually tried to get a California driver's license on April 4th, 2007.
He also claims that Britney considers herself a resident of Louisiana, where she's apparently building a new house, and that is why she kept her driver's license issued from that state.
After opening statements, the first witness called was an investigator from the DMV who was questioned about Britney's driving record.
Britney's father Jaime is expected to be in court this afternoon.
