I wear fur. It has been passed down through generations in my family. It has lasted longer than jewels, because it doesn't go missing very easily! It sucks that it comes from animals, but it is the oldest form of clothing. Weaving plants was too time consuming, and not nearly as warm!

If you wear leather shoes or coats you are wearing a dead animal unless you are of course wearing a synthetic leather but the process of Tanning is the changing of animal skin to leather! I am vegan and have been that way for 2 yrs and the food is not expensive, it was far more expensive when i used to be a meat-eater.

I also don't wear leather, fur, wool or anything that comes from animal's skin. People wether they be homeless, poor, etc they are lucky they're not an animal because they can and somehow will get the help they need.

But for animals it is horrible, there are no laws that protect them from the atrocities they suffer daily at slaughterhouses, fur farms, experiments, vivisections, etc.

My ex wife loved her fur coats. I never could understand it. I paid over 600 dollars for a North Face jacket for her, but she insisted on fur. Her fur coats were not as warm or as durable as the north face and I had to pay out the ass for a furier to store and maintain the damned things.
