While I'm no fan of Britney or Kevin, I thought the abuse allegations were way out there, but she is definitely neglectful where those kids are concerned. I don't think Kevin made these abuse claims because he would know they would not hold up. It could have been done by anyone really. I do think that there must be something far worse than this for Kevin to go to the extremes of a custody battle. My opinion is neither one of them are responsible enough to take care of these kids. The court should put them in foster care until a suitable family can be found. Kevin and Britney need to grow up.

Although Britney Spears is not the “ideal” mother, the enraged outbursts of so many claiming she is unfit for custodial rights of her two children are based on nothing more than counterfeit hearsay, endless tabloid reports, ignorance for what actual child abuse is, and laxity to recognize the millions of children in our society that suffer actual abuse and negligence and remain with their abusive parents in unfit environments, not even in question of being taken away. The fact that so many of you are so ignorant to actual fact and what child abuse really is appalls me. Putting soda into a child’s cup or baby bottle, trying to whiten your children’s teeth artificially, leaving your child with a nanny (who is most likely a superior candidate in comparison for adequately meeting the children’s needs; considering the qualifications someone with money takes into consideration when hiring five or more figure salaries to attend to their children), even dressing in provocative clothing, is nothing, NOTHING, is comparison to what I see on a daily basis. And yes, my occupation sees many heartbreaking cases, all of which Britney Spears “maltreatment” of her children come nowhere in comparison.
