If this is true, it's a moment of truth for Adnan. If he really cares about Britney he would encourage her to do what her parents want and get treatment. If he's after the dollars then he'll tell her she's fine and her parents are wrong.

No one can change her or force her to change. Parents can't legally obtain their own childs drug test results witout the CHILD'S PERMISSION from the age of 14 on. A child does not have to come home from the age of 16 on, they can run around do drugs, not come home but the parents are held responsible for whatever damage the child might do until they are 18 or 21 in some states. In Connecticut it's 18. We went through this with our son for over 10 years. With all of the work and schooling to stage the intervention, the court ordered our child held for 6 months or longer, however long deemed necessary but the hospitals DO NOT HOLD THEM for more than a few days to 2 weeks. They say it's WORSE for them. So I became a prisoner in my own home while being responsible for getting my troubled teen to school, PHP, partial hospital treatment and you cannot FORCE THEM TO TAKE MEDICATION or be drug tested. The court ordered that and as a result he finally ended up in JAIL for 4 YEARS. That is what changed him. He is 26, clean, sober with a good job and a wonderful finace now but it took 11 years. It's something you can't judge unless you've been through it yourself with a loved one. That is why they have Alanon and NAranon. Look it up.

How do you know her kids are fine?? I hope they are, but I am doubtful....esp with the youngest. Mark my words - huge problems ahead for a child who was abandoned for 4 months of his early life. Brainwashing (or any poison relationship) takes a LONG time to overcome. I've been with my boyfriend for over two years, but sometimes he still reverts back to the way he was with his ex. She was a master manipulator. Every time she wanted money, or to get her own way in a fight, she would pack up the kids in the car and tell him, "If you don't do this or that, you'll never see your kids again." And sometimes she would leave for a couple of hours or days or weeks, just to prove she had that power over him. He would be having a panic attack (where you feel like have to get outside quick), and she'd tell him, "If you walk out that door you'll never see your kids again." So in every fight he'd basically go insane. For the longest time after we were together, he wouldn't look other women in the eye, or go work in his garage, or do anything HE wanted to do, because he would say that his ex (or me) would get mad at him for it. He couldn't understand that his ex no longer had the power over him to say what he could and couldn't do. He still suffers from anxiety, but it's getting better. But it's scary stuff.

I suspect Brit is going through much of the same right now. The paranoia, the feelings of helplessness. If Sam has been manipulating her, it could take a long time to get that out of her system.

The 'crazy' didn't START in Britney with Sam. It started in 2001. She was taking Prozac to combat deep depression from her split with Justin. Prozac is a serious drug that can have negative effects. Her crazy just wasn't seen until her Vegas wedding. Britney was taking PURE E (dangerous as hell, and ecstasy definitely worsens any preexisting psychological conditions). That is where it really started. It was Britney's CHOICE and POOR JUDGEMENT to hang out with her drug dealer (Sam). Don't blame x17 or various others for her craziness. It was there and building momentum for at least 5-6 YEARS.

I don't think those kids will be fine at all. They have witnessed their mother in full crazy mode, and she created massive instability and confusion for them. Kids need a mother, and they are heavily impacted by abandonment. It's very sad, but I would peg them for having horrific problems throughout their lives, and possibly ending their lives early. I see it all the time.

The boys will be fine. A lot of kids see tragedies and get adopted and if the have love and support they over come and become good loving, healthy people. I know a guy who saw his family get blown up in Vietnam and was in bad shape for a long while but an American family adopted him and they really loved him, sent him to the best schools just like he was their own child and he wasn't. He's one of the nicest people I know today and he has his own company. The boys will be fine as long as the whole rest of the family show love and care.
