Men with Sheen's behaviors are common in our society. They can purchase exceptional attorneys and keep their medical ("counselling/institutionalized") records private, then they go on to earn millions on "popularity" indexes. I've seen this happen so many times, many men are horribly abusive like Sheen and then they get million dollar contracts, jobs, loads of social invites...calling the police tends to demean the female caller more than anything else. Only cases where male abusers get any "legal penalty" to speak of in the public are those who are targeted by competitors to be taken down (more attorneys, managers, distributors, etc., it's a way out to get rid of people they no longer want to use). Unfortunately, many women find these abusers to be "cool" like they're "bad boys" and even those tags reveal the immaturity of their audience because abuse like this (Sheen, Tiger Woods, Letterman, etc.) isn't at all a plus nor cute -- many men, too, think this is some sort of thing men are supposed to do. Human society is irrational.

Sheen and wife are two substance abusers who have not received proper treatment for the mental/emotional conditions that manifest in substance abuse (and in abuse of themselves and others). I think the wife is likely as responsible for this incident as is Sheen (meaning, both are).
