Although her recent surgery might still have her on crutches, you can't keep Brooke Shields down!

We spotted Brooke hobbling around inside Jenny Bee's Monday, perusing their selection of baby merchandise. On her way out, Brooke admitted that she'd "seen better days" and couldn't even tell our cameraman when the doctors would clear her to walk on her own two feet again. At least she seems to be keeping a positive outlook about the whole situation - atta girl, Brooke!

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen, why is this nut trying to shop like that? I'm sure it could have waited or she could have sent someone out to get it for her. She just wants attention.

That looks like a bunionectomy to me, which is totally elective surgery. Looks like she had it done on both feet. You get bunions from wearing high heels. Looks like she has a hard time making wise choices - like when it's time to put on some flats and when it's totally not the time to go out shopping (hint Brooke: while you're on crutches!!).

Brooke doesn't have a broken leg as X17 reported. She had surgery on her foot, bunions most likely. She has had bunion surgery before. It is a good thing that she is up and around on her foot and the crutches are for balance only. I know all this because I have had the same type of surgery. You do not get bunions from wearing high heals! In some cases have bunions removed is not elective surgey, even if it is elective (mine was not) so what? I had my surgery on both feet at the same time. The cause wasn't high heels! The cause is hereditary!

If you have never had this type of surgery, you have no right to make nasty remarks about it. Brooke will be off the crutches as soon as she can walk without the, most likely in about a week. She should not be allowed to wear heals higher than one inch for at least 6 months.

You go Brooke! I have been there and I can truely sympathize with you!

I like her cool shoes. Where can I get me some?

Hey mewithanopinionthatswrong: You are an idiot and you're wrong. Look it up, like I just did. 90% of bunions are caused by tight-fitting, often high heeled shoes. And yes, I've had the surgery, too. I learned my lesson, no longer wear high heels and have not had a problem since.
