Bruce Springsteen Cancels Concert After Cousin's Death

BSPRINGSTEEN050405_cousin.jpgBruce Springsteen canceled a performance after his cousin - assistant road manager for the E Street Band - was found dead in his hotel room Monday night.

"Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last ten years, passed away today at the age of 36. A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family," a rep for Bruce said in a statement.

Sullivan was found dead in his room at the Kansas City Intercontinental Hotel. A Kansas City police spokesman says they are investigating the death, which did not appear to be suspicious.

Tickets for Monday's night's performance are being refunded and a Springsteen rep hinted at more possibly cancellations: "Bruce and the Band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience, and look forward to returning at our the first opportunity."

Our condolences to Bruce and the E Street Band.
