Cameron Diaz just released this statement, via her publicist Brad Cafarelli, about the sudden passing of her father, Emilio Diaz, yesterday of pneumonia:

“My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family. My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts.”

Our warmest wishes go out to Cameron and her family...

Emilio was only 58.

So, so sad.

how in hell does a 58 year old die of flu-turned-pneumonia in a modern medically supported society. It can happen if...

- you are recklessly ignoring a flu's symptoms (or masking them with drugs) and allowing it to turn to pneumonia
- you are wilfully NOT seeking medical help when your body is SERIOUSLY telling you otherwise
- you maybe don't WANT to get better, and wilfully undertake behaviors that push a curable problem to become a lethal condition (suicide by another name)
- you have other (undisclosed) medical conditions
- you are abusing substances which further weakens your system and / or makes you psychologically unable to care for yourself
- you are severely depressed and unable to take care of yourself

This site is very disrespectful. It was disrespectful to Kanye West when his mother died by saying (I'm paraphrasing)that "hopefully he'll get over her death quickly and come out with a new album." And again, it's being disrespectful to Cameron Diaz by 1. Not reporting his death and offering CONDOLENCES the day he died (YESTERDAY) and 2. By offering "warmest wishes" to Cameron and her family. Your little ploys aren't funny. Whoever writes these captions is really ignorant and karmically fucked.
