Carrie Didn't Mean To "Stir Up Anything" With Jessica

Carrie Underwood sat down with Elle Magazine for their December issue, and in addition to posing for some stunning black and white photos, the country crooner reveals that she didn't mean to upset Jessica Simpson earlier this year.
It all started back in June when Jessica was spotted wearing a t-shirt with "Real Girls Eat Meat" emblazoned across the front, which many perceived to be a jab at Carrie, who is a devout vegan. Carrie then took a swipe at Jessica when she revealed in the September issue of Allure that ex Tony Romo (and Jessica's current man) still calls her. Carrie boldly stated, "The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer." After that, Jessica said in a radio interview, "Tony and I both laughed at that...we got a chuckle out of it." When the radio host asked the wannabe country singer if there was any truth to Carrie's claim, Jessica responded, "I know it's not [true], I looked at his call log."
Now Carrie tells Elle, "It was just something that was said in passing, and I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or to stir up anything, because I’m just not about drama. At all. I might be mad too if somebody said my boyfriend was calling some other girl. So I can definitely see where she [Jessica Simpson] would be coming from. But I haven’t talked to him since, like, May."

X17 went inside the Sony/BMG Grammy after-party, with stars like Aretha Franklin, Carrie Underwood, John Legend, Brandy, Brad Paisley, Nicole Richie and Chris Brown, who showed off some of his infamous moves on the dance floor!

Carrie Underwood was the big winner at the American Music Awards - at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. - last night, taking home two trophies for Best Female Artist (Country) and for her album Some Hearts... which has been on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts for over 100 weeks!
Fergie also triumphed, beating out Beyonce (and Avril Lavigne? WTF - she was nominated?!) for Best Female Artist in Pop/Rock. So who looked better? Sultry Fergie or cute Carrie?
