Charlie Sheen was charged with felony menacing, misdemeanor 3rd degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief in an Aspen court room today as a result of his Christmas day scuffle with wife Brooke Mueller.

Sheen, who did not enter a plea, and Mueller appeared before a Colorado judge this afternoon, where they also asked to have the protective order placed on Charlie since Christmas relaxed.

The judge agreed to allow Charlie to once again have contact with Brooke with the stipulation that he stays away from owning or handling any firearms and does not consume alcohol.

Charlie is due back in court on March 15th.

As if Charlie Sheen doesn't have enough to worry about right now with pending felony menacing charges in Aspen, the actor now has to deal with the fact that his car was stolen last night and found crashed 400 feet below Mulholland Drive this morning.

LA firefighters and helicopter crews have searched for victims but have found none and Officer Bruce Borihanh says there is no evidence to suggest someone was in the car when it went over the edge.

Sheen had reported the car stolen earlier; no suspects have been found and the LAPD is investigating.

UPDATE - It was actually Sheen's Mercedes-Benz involved, not an SUV.

"It's sad," Richards said. "Perhaps people can understand what I went through."

X-mas morning, Denise got a call from Sheen, collect of course. "I thought it was odd that he was calling collect, and he said: 'Yeah, they won't let me use my cell phone here. I'm in jail,'" Richards says.

Denise tells Winfrey that although Charlie never hit her during their marriage, "There was a lot of verbal abuse. Arguments got heated. That scared me."

But after a contentious divorce, Denise says she and her ex are now in a better place. "Charlie and I are in a great place now," Richards says, "And I think now is a good time to reflect."

Of Mueller, she said, "She was going to be, and is, my daughter's stepmom. So I want that to be a healthy marriage." Denise added, "That helps everyone."

The Pitkin County court has vacated Charlie Sheen's and Brooke Mueller's court date set for tomorrow in Aspen regarding the little matter of domestic violence stemming from their Christmas day dispute at their rented home in the chic ski village.

District Court Judge James Boyd said Mueller demonstrated good cause for rescheduling the hearing with her hospitalization for pneumonia yesterday.
This is the second delay in this hearing.

The judge also agreed to hear Mueller's motion to dismiss the protective order against Sheen at the new appearance date of February 8 at 2:15 pm.

Question is ... what will happen between these two over the next two weeks before the hearing. We hope Brooke will return to good health but then, will she and Charlie kiss and make up? Seems like they've already started down that path with Charlie visiting her in the hospital yesterday. Sounds like Brooke may end up dropping the whole thing and just sticking with her hubby!

We already knew Charlie Sheen's wife Brooke Mueller was having medical issues following oral surgery, and X17 photographers just spotted Charlie leaving the Sherman Oaks Hospital after visiting Brooke, who was taken to the medical center this morning with a high fever.

Police and hospital security are positioned near the emergency room entrance, and while a hospital employee told X17online that Brooke isn't checked in under her given name or any of her other aliases (Brooke Sheen, Allen, or Estevez), the heightened security and Charlie's visit would seem to contradict that.

Brooke's scheduled court appearance in Aspen this morning has been delayed until Friday, and she was set to request that the judge lift her protective order against Charlie, which ironically didn't stop him from visiting her today. Charlie and two pals arrived at the hospital this morning, and while the protective order stipulates that Charlie and Brooke cannot have direct contact with one another, it doesn't say that they can't be in the same room together. Since Charlie dropped by, it sure seems like these two are making every effort to patch things back up...

UPDATE:
Charlie's attorney Richard Cummins has filed documents asking the Aspen, Colorado judge to allow Charlie to have contact with Brooke while she's recovering in the hospital. In the docs, Cummins asks for an adjustment on the protective order, stating that Charlie "is concerned and feels the necessity to assist and care for his wife."

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller's scheduled court appearance in Aspen this morning has been continued until Friday, the 22nd, so that Brooke can clear up a "medical issue."

Mueller was set to request that the judge lift a protection order so that the couple can reunite, but she'll have to wait a few more days.

Aspen PD tells X17online that Brooke requested to appear by phone today, due to an apparent oral infection, but her request was denied. She and Charlie will have to meet face-to-face in court Friday at 10am to answer charges of domestic violence.

Mueller accused Sheen of threatening to kill her on Christmas morning, coming after her with a knife in the living room of their rented home in Aspen.

Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen have been separated ever since the Christmas morning incident that led to his arrest, but Brooke's mom, Moira Fiore, says her daughter is looking forward to getting back together with her estranged husband.

"She hasn't spoken with him," Fiore told E!. "But she wants to reconcile with him."

But mom, who was in Aspen at the time of the incident, says "I have mixed emotions" about the two of them getting back together, but Brooke "won't listen to me."

When asked how she feels about the twins, Bob and Max, back under the same roof as their father, Fiore said, "I'd rather not comment about that."

Officials cleared the boys to stay with their mom in Aspen, where she's renting a house, for the rest of the month.

Now that officials have ruled that Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller's twin boys can stay in Colorado with their mom, Bob and Max are getting the best seats in the house on a walking tour of Aspen.

A nanny and one of Brooke's family members took the little tots out for a walk Sunday morning. Man, it looks cold! Good thing the kids are all bundled up!

Charlie Sheen will increase wife Brooke Mueller’s prenuptial agreement by $1 million if she agrees to stay with him and help keep him out of jail. That's it?! Doesn't he earn $800,000 per episode of Two and a Half Men?!

According to Radar, Brooke has told friends that Charlie's camp offered her the extra money following his arrest for domestic violence. Brooke has hired attorney Yale Galanter to help her sort out this mess, as she could be charged with filing a false police report if she recants her allegations that he threatened her with a knife during an argument on Christmas. However, if Charlie goes to prison, Brooke could then lose her child support money and that extra $1 million cushion...

So will she try to get more money and stay married to the sitcom star? Or will she tell Charlie to suck it? Maybe she should have a conference call with Elin Nordegren?

With Charlie back in LA and mom Brooke partying the night away in Aspen, the twins were left in the care of their nanny this morning.

After the more scary than merry Christmas morning these two tots had, it's probably best that the kids remain with their babysitter while mom relaxes!

The Charlie Sheen/Brooke Mueller scandal thickens!

A police affidavit has been released and it details what happened after Officer Rick Magnuson arrived at the Aspen home on Christmas Day...

Let's break it down!

-Magnuson did not notice "any obvious injuries" on Mueller when he arrived, but later an officer saw "red marks on the upper part of the front of her neck."

-While talking in the basement, Sheen told Magnuson that his wife "abuses alcohol."

-Sheen said he and Mueller began fighting at 3:30 am after he "shared a song for his daughter whom he fathered with another woman." This made Brooke jealous, and she then threatened to divorce her husband and take the children, Sheen claims.

-Both parties yelled at each other and slapped each other's arm. Sheen denies pushing or striking his wife, but admits to breaking her eyeglasses.

-Regarding the knife, Sheen acknowledged having a folding knife (with a 4-inch blade), but denied threatening Mueller with it. He showed it to Magnuson and it was locked in the open position.

-According to the affidavit, Mueller claims Sheen held the knife to her throat and said, "You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you." She claims he also told her the following: "Your mother's money means nothing. I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won't leave any trace."

-Mueller told the officer that she managed to get Sheen off of her by telling him, "You're right, you're right. I'm sorry. I love you."

What a mess! What do you believe?

Brooke Mueller's 911 call to Aspen Police has just been released, and while it's not the scariest recording we've ever heard, Brooke does sound quite traumatized. Brooke tells the operator, "My husband had me...with a knife and I'm scared for my life and he threatened me..."

Brooke also mentioned that there were some family members separating the two of them, but given the fact that she was crying and this shaken, it sounds like Charlie definitely crossed the line...

Most people would call a lawyer after being arrested for allegedly assaulting their wife on Christmas day, but Charlie Sheen called Slash!

"I talked to him, he's okay," Slash said after dinner with his family at Katsuya on Saturday night.

Much less "okay" in Slash's book seems to be former bandmate Axl Rose, who recently got into a scuffle earlier this month with the paps at LAX! Check out the vid to see his reaction...

We already knew that some sort of a weapon was involved in the blowup between Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller on Christmas day, but now it's being reported that it was a knife!

A source tells E! News Charlie allegedly threatened Brooke with the knife in the living room of her Aspen rental home, and while DA Arnold Mordkin couldn't confirm or deny the report, you can bet the truth will come out eventually!

Seriously, what's next for these two?

According to reports, Charlie Sheen has returned to Los Angeles, and a source claims that he and wife Brooke Mueller are planning on seeing a counselor in an attempt to save their marriage. Several websites claim Brooke will stay at her rented house in Aspen for now, and though rumors have been swirling that the two have been separated for several months now, sources also claim that those reports are untrue. Hmm, shouldn't these two maybe be in the same city to see a therapist? Just a thought!

As you may recall, on Christmas Day, the two had a physical fight that landed Charlie in jail on assault charges, and the Pitkin County Police Department has revealed that there was a weapon was involved in the dispute. Hmmm...wonder what kind of weapon we're talking about here?

New information is coming out about the arrest of Charlie Sheen yesterday morning in Aspen for assault against his wife Brooke Mueller ...

Authorities apparently gave Sheen and Mueller blood alcohol tests and the wifey clocked in at .14, while Charlie blew a .04 -- half the legal limit for DUI in California.

Just what where these two doing, drinking at 8:30 in the morning? Brooke was bitch slapping her man, it seems!

Sheen told cops his wife was physically attacking him and Mueller reportedly admitted to police she was drunk at the time she made the 911 call.

Charlie's hired Colorado attorney Richard Cummins and is due in court February 8.

Charlie Sheen, 44, was arrested today in Aspen for assault against his wife Brooke Mueller - specifically, he was taken in for felony second degree assault, felony menacing and criminal mischief. He is being held without bond.

Sheen will be locked up until he sees a judge which might not be until Monday.

Police responded to a 911 call made at 8:34 am. When police arrived, the Two and a Half Men star was arrested. An ambulance arrived but did not transport anyone for treatment.

Reports say the couple had been living separately for three months - Mueller in a rented home in Colorado and Sheen in Los Angeles. The couple had reunited for the holidays, but apparently things turned bad and the couple was arguing in the early morning hours of Christmas morning.

UPDATE: Sheen has posted $8500 bail and has been released from the Pitkin County Jail in Aspen.
